Yeah those shows looks stupid. It's like CC comes up with a new shitty show every month and then cancels it next month. This is why I love sticking with Cartoon Network... they air mostly quality stuff and there are plenty of seasons to enjoy. Every other channel just churns the same shit over and over.
After they cancelled Young Justice for a horrible looking Teen Titans Go!, I have a hard time believing that for a second.

I like it when people use the word "gay" in any context other than a homosexual one - it only proves that they have the maturity of a five year old, as if their obsession with shooters didn't already do a good job of pointing that out. It's also pretty amusing that he pointed out Skyrim considering the fact that, y'know, it's set in the bloody medival era and doesn't even have muskets, let alone generic modern firearms.

But just for fun, let's play around with his logic a bit.

game - gun = gay
game + gun = -gay
game + gun + Arem = ???

This is why I love sticking with Cartoon Network...
My childhood was ruined from that channel years ago. I flip to it every now and then but it's not the same channel I grew up with, especially after having shows like Destroy Build Destroy (I love Andrew WK but he has no place on that channel). They may have changed over the years and I haven't noticed due to the lack of checking that channel (yea I admit it, but that's wonder if it has changed that much). I may be sticking to old ideals here but for those who remember this:

Cartoon Network, the place for cartoons

Ruined? Yeah Destroy Build Destroy sucked, but their... 1 or maybe 2 live action shows they have don't last long fortunately. Let's count how many crappy live action shows Nickelodeon has... yeah that's a lot. They are hardly even a cartoon channel these days.

Yeah, but they don't ever really go on a canceling spree like most channels like to do. It was too expensive for them to produce, and poor toy sales didn't help them out. Personally I love CN mostly for Adult Swim and some of the more popular shows in the daytime.

^ Da fak? Fuck Nickolodeon I didn't mention them and in all seriousness they didn't boast over (pride themselves in) being a channel solely for cartoons at any point (if wrong please let me know). Disregard Nick, I don't wanna compare it to Cartoon Network because that's not what we're talking about (CN vs Nick). And for the record, remember Cartoon Cartoon Fridays? They eventually had real people after a bit too if you don't remember. This video helps to show that they did this eventually, for whatever you feel it's worth. Adult Swim (and the revival of Toonami within Adult Swim) is the only thing about Cartoon Network I still like honestly. Aside from that I will say it has gone downhill and if you do not agree then lets just end it at that. What your opinion about the channel is I am not trying to insult, I'm just giving my view on the channel itself and why I believe it has gone downhill.

...I'm just contrasting between the two.

Personally I think people hang on to the past too much in terms of shows. Sure the way they did that with Cartoon Fridays was nice, but if they still did that way to this day, it would feel a little tired and played out to death. And they -have- brought back those old toons even today. Now on Fridays, we get BRAK and Zorak hosting all the classic shows from the early 2000's. And they even brought back Toonami from fan's request... despite the fact they're just the old shows everyone's already seen played over again... well one or two are new. And for all the people who love the old stuff like me, they have their other channel, Boomer-rang. 24/7 old school CN material. I don't have access to it myself, but I have all the shows on dvd-rs anyway. It feels like they know that people love the old stuff and they cater to those people. I think CN was going down 5-4 years ago for a period when they were taking note from Nick's success with crappy live teen shows and experimented on what would work for them, and nothing stuck, because those were all shit. Especially that one that combined 2D animation with a live action highschool setting.

I think the show lineups might be different in other countries, so some of you might have some different lineups?

Adult Swim sucks.

There I said it.

It's run by a bunch of trolls who know their block is last bastion for any kind of animation or basic content after 11 CST (besides Daily Show and Colbert). I haven't truly looked forward to any original shows they've had in a long time.

Seth Mcfarlane Shows are suck now.

Toonami/Anime is a last gasp at trying to revive their original legacy.

The ATHF/Robot Chicken guys are out of ideas.

Their live action makes Comedy Central look /funny/.

I'm actually interested in seeing how Fox's Animation Domination HD goes, direct challenge to AS.

Well the live action stuff was just an experiment, and it all seems to be gone nowadays. They've got Adventure Time and Regular Show as their staples right now, along with a ton of other shows that aren't terrible but aren't amazing either IMO like Gumball (pretty corny show, jokes sometimes falls flat, but can still be funny and has a fantastic unique look to it. It's basically Chowder).

Artistically Gumball is amazing, and it's pretty unique. I usually find humor pretty enjoyable, it's not "laugh out loud" all the time, but fun. Adventure Time is epic and the poster boy right now. I think Regular Show is alright, but I'm never really physced about it. The one show I think should be taken off right away is that damn Annoying Orange show... it's like a thorn on a foot.

Wait, how is Fox's Animation Domination in any kind of competition to AS? I know they get the stuff first, but they're only a 1 day thing for x amount of hours...

Well it's harder to build a late night block on an OTA network like Fox, although Fox does have the advantage of having its late newscast an hour earlier than ABC/CBS. It's a test to see if people will watch if they provide the content. It might expand to FX/FXX (FXXX Joke here) if it proves popular, but right now the Big F doesn't have a late night plan at all and sees weakness in the Saturday Late Night Schedule across the board at other networks.

Perfect place to slot something in to try it out, especially of the mature humor nature.

Because back in the day, Cartoon Network was a more organised channel with specific timeslots for specific types of shows. You had classic shows, Cartoon Cartoon shows, anime on Toonami and I think that was it. Now it's kind of a mess and it doesn't help that they keep cancelling anything good that comes their way (Young Justice, Green Lantern, Thundercats and motherfucking Symbionic Titan to name a few). It just seems to me like it's a clusterfuck of whatever they can throw on the air.

I think Adult Swim is garbage though, I remember when it was originally conceived as a block for uncensored anime, then it just basically became Cartoon Network's personal acid dump to parade really stupid shows that are supposedly aimed at an "adult" audience. Seriously, does anyone actually watch crap like Superjail and Metalocalypse? Are they supposed to be funny or entertaining?

I watch Superjail, it's a little fun and insanity, Metalocalypse began to take itself too seriously, first season or two were ok but now it's over the top.
