I've never been a huge fan of shows like DT that seem to thrive off of being as offensive as possible. At least with South Park you know there's some satire behind the raunchiness. The end of Futurama is the end of an era, indeed. I hope it will be replaced with an even more clever, funny, and well-conceived show. |

Workaholics is actually a really good show. (And is it bad that I admit to liking Tosh's show? Yeah his stand up is better but what comedian doesn't have that work out that way?) |

Tosh.0 I don't have a problem with. Reason being is because I prefer it over most of the stuff on Tru TV and MTV (example channels) that pretty much have similar shows as well. I do however believe that Futurama was one of the best shows on Comedy Central. I can also see the lack of faith in Comedy Central because most of the shows on it (new ones) aren't that good. Workaholics and the rest of these shows I might just watch if there's nothing else on. Seriously what is the percentage/amount of people who think the current set of shows are better than Futurama? I think it's just a big amount of people who don't care because they're not big on Futurama, and will go along with whatever the next thing is that Comedy Central decides to put on the air. Also, fuck the same set of movies rotating on their weekend schedule for the past.... idk how long! Do they get that many viewers for this stuff still? I feel like I've seen Beverly Hills Cop, Sex Drive, and Ferris Bueller's Day Off (a few examples) more than a handful of times on that channel. I think I'll take Daniel Tosh's words just for this:

Hell, I enjoy watching Tosh.0 myself as well, even if he mostly just makes fun of the internet now. Like who doesn't do that?

Tosh.0 is fine... though after the first half, the second half is usually something I could do without depending who they fake interview. I hear Workaholics and Always sunny are funny and whatever. I gave it a look... Always sunny looks like just a bunch of douches at a bar extremely angry and yelling at each other... and I didn't see enough of workaholics to really form an opinion. I tend to stay away from live action shows with a few exceptions. And yeah, I hate how some stations will replay the same damn movies over and over on the weekends. |

To let you have some insight on It's Always Sunny (IAS), it's based around a group of douches (we'll just use this because you'll see why) who almost always get themselves into some mess/adventure. This will usually go bad, but sometimes for a few in the group could go very well (with maybe some odd incident in the process). The end always results in the whole group getting out of (avoiding) the whole incident in the first place and somehow resolving the issue (if it's a two part episode it's usually concluded in the last part). That's pretty much the gist of IAS and for Workaholics, while it doesn't seem to follow a trend like IAS, it's not exactly interesting (but that's my opinion). I won't lie sometimes it has some good/hilarious moments, but any show (especially a comedy) can have such moments. These two shows are better than the list of shows on here if we're speaking fairly though. I feel like most people never even knew of Jeselnik and Schumer before the Charlie Sheen roast. |

Well it's good to know I'm not the only one who sees them as douches. People seem to disagree with me on that.... my brother for one... who is a douche himself so that figures. |

Yeah those shows looks stupid. It's like CC comes up with a new shitty show every month and then cancels it next month. This is why I love sticking with Cartoon Network... they air mostly quality stuff and there are plenty of seasons to enjoy. Every other channel just churns the same shit over and over.

I miss The Sarah Silverman Program, she's like a live action cartoon because she was raunchy for the sake of raunchy. That cancellation really pissed me off. |

My childhood was ruined from that channel years ago. I flip to it every now and then but it's not the same channel I grew up with, especially after having shows like Destroy Build Destroy (I love Andrew WK but he has no place on that channel). They may have changed over the years and I haven't noticed due to the lack of checking that channel (yea I admit it, but that's wonder if it has changed that much). I may be sticking to old ideals here but for those who remember this:
Keeping that in mind we probably remember a similar trend and how the channel eventually started to decline when they started to go against this and cancel/move some shows/programs that were popular. I feel I've gone quite a bit off topic with this though so I'll just stfu lol @Shamanic You may be on to something there ;). Lets see how these shows go in terms of that process. Lets not forget Brickleberry when it comes back in the Fall. It's going to be it's second season with only 10 episodes (iirc) for the first season, so step 1 and 2 complete (add 3 if you feel it took long, but South Park fans should be use to waiting a while for a new season) which leaves your last 2 steps (people not caring and then the cancellation). I believe Comedy Central is going to go (far far) down the shitter eventually should they keep adding these horrible shows. |
