For some reason I had it in my head that Valve had published the game. Nonetheless, the publisher(who in this case is also the developer) would still need the appropriate license. |

I'm excited for this! Had alot of fun with the Texas Hold 'Em game that I got for free on XBox Live years ago so this should be good to move onto. Going to be getting it on my PS3 though since I don't play my 360 much anymore. |

Just read on Bruce Campbell's twitter feed: he will not be playing Ash in this game. Ungroovy. Best of luck to whoever's voicing Ash, 'cause he's gonna need it. |

Well then, I guess we'll find out one of the first critical points of everyone's (re)view of the game once it's out. Going to pick it up when it comes out, but still undecided whether on PS3 or PC... Probably PC |

Just downloaded the game since it unlocked about 30 mins ago. I already found a problem with the game sadly, and it's one that I really hope doesn't break the game for me (hopefully it's not consistent in terms of occurring). In the act of re-raising after the first 3 cards have come out (Texas Hold 'Em mode) the game seems to not register your action and you're stuck in the waiting process for pretty much as long as you have that tournament going (yea, gotta start a new one which at the moment at gotten me down to -$80,000... wtf lol)! I've tried leaving the tournament and coming back into it (reopening client or just simply trying to continue the tournament from the menu) but that seems to still keep me waiting with no options to fold, call, or (re-)raise even though I've tried to re-raise. To summarize: Re-raise after first 3 cards come out and somebody raises (not bet, raises), options go away to do anything, wait forever since the game takes it as no action selected and you have nothing to choose (actions doesn't pop back up), restart tournament with -$20,000 for each time you do so. So Aroxys, that magnificent bastard, got me the game a few weeks ago and I managed to pretty much 100% it all the way. It is incredibly fun and gave me some good insight on how to actually play poker, so now I might actually have a chance in a real game. The dialogue between the characters is always fun, I've played this game for about 20 hours and I'm still hearing new things, even overarching conversations that take place over the course of several tournaments! I also ran into Spade's problem; it doesn't just happen when you re-raise after the flop, it happened to me when I quickly clicked any of the options the second they came up for me, locking the game. Normally, you'd have to restart but, there's a trick that I used to get everything in this game, especially the ludicrous one million dollars achievement; if you're losing a hand, just Alt+F4 to quit the game and, when you go back in, it'll just reset that one hand. You can continue where you left off and, maybe this time around, you might get a better hand. |
