Four different fucking editions, with the special edition being the standard package in this case. Fucking Ubisoft.

Yeah, I think I'm at that stage where I'm not as willing to spend the money on doodads unless there's some seriously hardcore incentive. Besides, I still haven't decided if I want the AC series on my Wii U, considering the first four games aren't even on the console. Until some kind of anthology is released (and outside of Europe for that matter), I'll probably just get a regular old PC version where the extras will eventually become available through payment.

Sure, annual releases are stupid, but the majority of the people who play said annual releases don't really give a shit about the frequency, just as long as they get their "fix," so to speak.

Posts: 17,366 Group: All Powerful Deity Member #1 Joined: December 30, 2005	There are plenty of ways to give people their fix without releasing a major entry in the franchise on a yearly basis without much in the way of development. Spinoffs are great ways to alleviate the "stress" that comes with waiting on the next entry or do the Nintendo thing and keep feeding the fanbase nuggets of info on upcoming releases to keep them salivating for more. Sales figures will obviously be good because people will always want to play the next game in the series to know what's going on. I still want in on these games because I've already invested so much interest in them and, quite frankly, the reason for that is because they're well written and hooked people from the beginning. They just need to find a better outlet for this instead of making a half assed release every year.
