I've been grinding older gear that can be upgraded as I wasn't aware at first that fully upgraded gear (yellow border) yields more materials when dismantled. And then there's the blue gear, which needs lots of materials to upgrade. Like that blue auto rifle, which needs 16 weapon parts for an upgrade. I may have already done that, but I can't remember.

There's no way they'd let a game as commercially successful (not critically, commerically. It made the monies, even if it didn't turn out anywhere near as originaly envisioned) as Destiny off as a single entry. See: Call of Duty. That said, I really do hope the next game matches up more with the initial vision, but I proably won't be pre-ordering it as early as I did this time, if at all.
