EVERYONE SHUT THE FUCK UP, WII U LOGO CONFIRMED. KT NOW LOVES THE FUCK OUT OF US.

Also, wtf at badass Bat and Rin, was this in the manga? I remember watching the show ages back, but I don't think it ever progressed far enough to show the kids after they grew up. If this was done exclusively for this game, then that just makes it even more badass.

Now, I can't honestly say I'm a massive Hokoto no Ken fan to begin with, but did anyone, anyone at all, honestly want a videogame adaptation that was little more than a Dynasty Warriors clone? For all this talk of pressure points that can cause a man to explode you'd think there would be some sense of precision to the gameplay scheme, but nope, it's all about mashin' fucking buttons. At the very least you'd think they'd fix the inherent flaw in the Dynasty Warriros scheme in that you have to execute 3-4 other attacks at the bare minimum to access anything even remotely resembling a priority move (ie: Ken-Oh's absolutely fuckoff massive double-handed energy wave that literally decimates entire armies singlehandedly)... of course the cherry on the cake is that the AI blatantly cheats and uses them whenever they damn well feel like it.

Suffice to say, when I see news of a sequel that rehashes the entire contents of the previous game and improves absolutely none of it, then go on to simply add more characters that for all intents and purposes seem just as fucked as the cast from the original, it doesn't take a lot to paint me as extremely unamused, even if that's pretty much the standard for Koei.

I dunno if it was in the manga, but the anime series did have a second season that took place some years after Kenshiro's final battle with Raoh, with Rin and Bat being freedom fighters or something like that. XD

I wasn't particularly interested in this, but the decision to make the Wii U version download only while the PS3 and 360 versions get a retail offering is just stupid. If I do find myself getting this, it won't be the Wii U version.

So apparently, the US version will also be download only. Eh, I can live with it as long as I get my game.

It looks like the PS3 version is also download only.
