Capcom announces Street Fighter X All Capcom in celebration of their 30th anniversary. Confirmed to have over five hundred playable characters, including representation from Ghost Trick, Monster Hunter, Phoenix Wright, Megaman, Viewtiful Joe, Okami and frankly a fuckton more than I care to count.

A phone game freeware crap game that plays lip service to the franchises people want to play, gives the biggest spotlight to street fighter, and in no way resembles a new ip? Humongous shocker!!!!

From the link I posted in Gamer Discussions. We don't want AAA titles, especially if they are bogging down the industry in more ways than one. A game doesn't have to have development costs and a team the equivalent of a big budget, summer blockbuster movie to fucking sell. We have the technology to make good games without spending so much money, so just tap into the freaking market and make the most out of a decent amount of capital. It should not take 9 godamn years to go from SF4 to SF5, we're not living in the 90's anymore and you could have easily released one game back in 2009 and continued to patch and update it over the course of maybe five years, until the fanbase was really ready for a completely new and fresh experience. You bastards are abusing the godamn system so much that most people don't know what real DLC is supposed to fucking look like anymore.

Crapcum wants you to believe that the next RE will feature more survival horror and lists a bunch of other games as inspiration. So, you singlehandedly define the survival horror genre, then outright DESTROY it, only to try to want to bring it back by using OTHER games (in this case, Western developed) as inspiration? You're so tapped out, creatively, that you can't even make a game in the genre you defined?

Do they really think this was actually an issue of raw quantity and not the fact that said content was just a step shy of outright genre roulette? A game that actually has a lot to it is a good thing as long as you can make it consistent, you dumb pricks. Of course it's only now that they'll justify putting less to their games after the absolutely absurd six hundred people that worked on RE6, that absolutely retarded amount of money associated with a team that pointlessly huge and the absolute tanking it suffered in retail (well, relative to covering their costs, anyway - don't quote me on actual numbers). Jesus fuck this comment pisses me off more than it probably should.

Is Tomb Raider even a fucking survival horror game? Should I find it ironic that it suffers many of the same brand-damaging flaws RE does, and got its ass kicked by high costs no amount of sales could cover, to boot?
