Sony Media Briefing Notes -Starting off with a massive and boring montage. And Jack Tretton's up first. Talks about general stuff before pointing brief attention to Kaz Hirai. -David Cage from Quantic Dream is up to talk about their newest IP, Beyond. Looks pretty good. -And now it's PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale. There will be PS3 and Vita cross-platform play. Two new announced characters: Nathan Drake from Uncharted and the Big Daddy or whatever from Bioshock. Launches later this year. -Jack's back and going on about how PSN, PS3 and the Vita are effectively the best in the industry. PlayStation Plus members are getting free copies of downloadable titles and everyone at the conference is getting a free one year membership voucher. Now talking about entertainment options on the PlayStation Network. -Assassin's Creed Vita spin-off coming. Wi-Fi Vita bundle also coming. Both AC games on Vita and PS3 can link up to unlock exclusive content, as has seemed the norm with AC games on the PS3 lately. Assassin's Creed III will also have at sea ship battles. And a dynamic weather system that can change on the fly. Even AC3 gets a bundle of its own, with even more PlayStation-exclusive DLC. -Far Cry 3 revealed to have four player co-op functionality. Purchase the PS3 version for exclusive DLC. -PlayStation Move now. New game called Wonderbook uses the PlayStation Eye to virtualise the content of books with augmented reality. J.K. Rowling is collaborating with Sony to publish Wonderbook's first story, Book of Spells. -PlayStation Suite, or now known as PlayStation Mobile, is Sony's efforts to bring PlayStation gaming to non-PlayStation devices, like tablets and smartphones. -New God of War game, multiplayer capabilities mentioned. And the GameTrailers stream glitched out and played audio that wasn't even matching the video, kinda drowning out the experience. March 12 2013. -Last of Us, now. The three UFC games that THQ released are amazing. Why the hell would you ditch that and go to EA!? Ugh, that's the series closest to REAL fighting and I adore it. Epic. And he's on stage with Bill Trenin talking about Pikmin and now Wii U. Shiggy now holding a black Wii U GamePad. And Pikmin 3 reveals better graphics and all new Pikmin: Rock Pikmin, which can break hard and solid objects with ease. The GamePad has a map ready to access, making more precise placement of Pikmin easier. You can control up to four other "leaders," but there is no sight of Olimar. Possible four player co-op? -Reggie is now on stage to massive applause. 23 new games to be displayed throughout the event. Video streaming services coming to Wii U. Hulu, Netflix, Amazon video and YouTube. But the event is games only. -Surprise! Wii U can support up to two GamePads at once. Now a 3D demo video showcasing the features of the GamePad. Includes a standard stylus. -Now the Home Menu and the MiiVerse. I think he calls it "Main Street." -New Super Mario Bros. U. Five player co-op. Like in Rayman Legends, the fifth player uses the GamePad to assist the other players with platforms to stand on. New power-up, an acorn will give you a flying squirrel suit. -Now for Batman Arkham City: Armored Edition on Wii U. The GamePad allows you to detonate Explosive Gel as you please by tapping them on the touchscreen. -Scribblenauts Unlimited. On top of normal Scribblenauts gameplay, now you can create your own objects and share them over the Nintendo Network. Coming to both current Nintendo consoles. -Montage of coming games. Missed out on some since Nintendo's custom stream keeps cutting out. Mass Effect 3 and Tekken are coming to Wii U. -Talking about Wii Fit now. Wii Fit U announced so to give the Balance Board some Nintendo first party usage on the Wii U. New pedometer that looks like a Pokewalker included. -New music game called SiNG. Now onto Nintendo 3DS stuff. Talking about the Software Showcase on Nintendo's E3 page. Talking about New Super Mario Bros. 2. Coin collecting frenzy. Late August, I missed the date. Paper Mario 3DS now called Paper Mario: Sticker Star, uses stickers as weapons. And also Luigi's Mansion 2. Multiple mansions and new ghosts. Coming out this holiday. -Third party lineup montage. Including Kingdom Hearts 3D. Back to Wii U games with LEGO City Undercover. Full voice acting and free roaming, possibly. -Ubisoft now on stage. Let's hear more on Rayman! Praising the Wii U and its innovative uses. Just Dance 4. A fifth player can grab the GamePad and script the moves that other players will dance throughout sessions. ZombiU, now. Gameplay trailer, nice. Can use the camera to "zombify" your face. Now a Ubisoft software montage. -Nintendo Land, a sort of theme park thing. Sounds a lot like Disney Universe. Looks like a lot of fun, too. And a trailer to finish off. Will be a launch title. Turns out this was their final thing to show. There will be a more in depth look at various games here.
