There's very little in the way of innovation or originality, with maybe a number of games I can count on one hand that are really worth getting a Vita over.
It's got that touch panel on the back, that's pretty original and innovative I think.
And I don't know what's going on with my pinky, it depends on the game I play. Kid Icarus WAS a nightmare. But it always happens with the 3ds. The stylus pen on the opposite end doesn't help this either.

Here are some of its current best games it has.
There were other apparently good ones, but I never heard of them. The library is still lacking.

Persona 4 Golden
Rayman Origins
LittleBigPlanet PS Vita
Mortal Kombat
Gravity Rush
BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extend
Metal Gear Solid HD Collection
Uncharted: Golden Abyss
Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3
Street Fighter X Tekken
WipEout 2048
Disgaea 3: Absence of Detention
PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale
Assassin's Creed III: Liberation
Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus
Ys: Memories of Celceta
Ragnarok Odyssey
Fate/Stay Night [Realta Nua]

I haven't even seen half of those games here. Though, the Vita section at my local EB is pretty small and abysmal to begin with. But that list just affirms what Seeco said; over half of those are just fucking ports, rather than completely original games. That's not really good news for the Vita right now.

And the rear touchpad is fucking awful, really. I don't find touchscreens having no feedback, but flat touchpads just irritate me, 'cos I can never figure out where the trackpad on my laptop is without looking as it feels the exact fucking same as the rest of my laptop and there's no way to tell otherwise. And the stick placement is even worse than the PSP. I can overlook those things, to some extent, but as you said, the fact that Sony hasn't cut the price of the Vita at all since launch is keeping me further away from actually buying one, leaving me with five or six unplayable games. Not counting P4G, 'cos that hasn't launched here yet (has it even lunched in the US yet? I haven't atually been paying attention)

Here, let me break it down for you:

Persona 4 Golden - Updated PS2 port
Rayman Origins - Multiconsole port
LittleBigPlanet PS Vita - Updated PS3 port
Mortal Kombat - Multiconsole port
Gravity Rush - Awesome original title
BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extend - Updated multiconsole port
Metal Gear Solid HD Collection - Multiconsole port missing one of the three games
Uncharted: Golden Abyss - Mediocre PS3 spinoff
Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 - Multiconsole port
Street Fighter X Tekken - Multiconsole port
WipEout 2048 - Decent spinoff
Disgaea 3: Absence of Detention - PS3 port
PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale - PS3 port
Assassin's Creed III: Liberation - Pretty cool spinoff
Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus - Updated PS3 port which was a port of a 360 game
Ys: Memories of Celceta - Awesome original game (which is sort of a remake of a much older title)
Ragnarok Odyssey - Awesome original game
Fate/Stay Night [Realta Nua] - PS2 port which was a port of a PC game

So looking back:

Gravity Rush
Uncharted: Golden Abyss
WipEout 2048
Assassin's Creed III: Liberation
Ys: Memories of Celceta
Ragnarok Odyssey

These are the only games really made for the Vita that should make it worth buying. Honestly, it's an okay lineup, but this would have been more interesting if all these games were launch games. Aside from that, the entire library needs to be expanded to reach much bigger numbers and have more variety of games. Step it up and pick up the pace, Sony.

I'd buy a port of a PS3 game if it were cheaper than the original. Portability of these is nice, but It's not enough.

If they made a good Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 port for the Vita, I'd actually consider it, but anything on that list, pass. Hell, even SEGA and Sonic Team (which seem to insist that Sonic be on EVERYTHING) has ignored it, except Sonic All-Stars Racing Transformed, and that one was developed by Sumo.

I like it when people use the word "gay" in any context other than a homosexual one - it only proves that they have the maturity of a five year old, as if their obsession with shooters didn't already do a good job of pointing that out. It's also pretty amusing that he pointed out Skyrim considering the fact that, y'know, it's set in the bloody medival era and doesn't even have muskets, let alone generic modern firearms.

But just for fun, let's play around with his logic a bit.

game - gun = gay
game + gun = -gay
game + gun + Arem = ???

Well they just released Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus on Vita for free for PSN+ users (inb4 psn+ not free). But this would be one of those reasons I'd trade my 3ds right about now.

So you either pay for the game itself, or pay through a subscription service to get it for free. Sounds like a winner.

Consider the fact they give you a free game every week for both Vita and PS3, and it's basically a cheaper way of having gamefly for half the price a year. Come time for PS4 and they'll probably add a third system to the benefits of that plan.

Gamefly $15 per month / 12 months = $180 / 2 games at once = $264
psn+ | $60 = free PS3 and Vita games and discounts
360 | $60 = nothing.
3Ds | $0 = nothing

I wonder why Nintendo doesn't come up with its own thing...

PlayStation Plus is a good deal, depending on how you look at it. But the fact that Sony's really only lending you the game through the service and will strip you of your access as soon as you cancel or lose your subscription is kind of shallow, in my opinion. That said, I don't care for the free games. I'm only using it for Automatic Update, so I don't have to wait five+ hours to play a game that I haven't played in a week, because Sony's game patching system is pretty abysmal, compared to the Wii U and 360.

And of course, digital games that are over 2 GB can just fuck off.

If you buy games at half off on the discount deals and stuff, I don't think they'll take that away then. Usually when people are done with certain games they don't need it back anyway. And it looks like they're adding three extra months to the plan for the same price... at least at the moment.

Again, the discount stuff is usually always games that I'd much rather own a physical copy of. And when I buy a game, I'd like to be able to play it instantly, rather than wait a minimum of five hours for it to download because Australia has absolutely shitty Internet speeds that, according to the NBN ads, are designed for phones, not computers. And then of course, my house is connected to a series of cables that is set up so bad, that my connection will literally crap out the instant it starts raining and Telstra/Internode has refused to fix it the past fifteen times we've complained because, acoording to the assholes who work there, there is nothing wrong with the lines at all.

So yea, all that, bundled with my personal preferences for physical media? Digital distribution can just get out. Buying the actual discs/cards is exceptionally easier because it's literally "go out, find, buy, come home, insert, play." Worse case scenario, I'll just import a copy. I'll consider properly diving into digital purchases in three/four years time, when the upgraded Internet service has been properly applied throughout Australia.

Usually when people are done with certain games they don't need it back anyway.
Then you should be given the option to sell it back, if that was the case. Either way, you're still paying for a product/service and you should be entitled to keep what you got, even if you discontinued your subscription. It's not like the gym will come knocking on your door and demand your muscles back if you stop going.

But that's like saying you're renting a game with your money, so therefore you should keep what you got. Basically for the price of one game, you get a ton for an entire year. But if you live in a country where the internet kind of sucks, yeah I see it would be kind of a shitty thing though.

The thing is, with other "renting" services, you can choose what you rent. PS+? Nope. You'll take what Sony gives you and you'll fucking like it, which mostly amounts to stupid AAA games that I (and Psycho, by extension) have literally no interest in. I don't want a free copy of Assassin's Creed III or Call of Duty: Black Ops II. Give me something like... Rayman or some shit. The games that are actually fucking decent and not another fucking FPS that gets a new installment every year.

Then again, I still wouldn't bite. But still. Give your subscribers some element of choice, even if you have to apply a "one free game a month" restriction. I don't know, I can't business. But neither can Sony, that clusterfuck of douchenuggets.

They do give plenty of choices... personally I think AAA titles from past and present would be the most generous road to go down, and discount others. Considering they update every week, you get plenty of choices. That one game that looks like an indie game, Closure, is free today. Mega Man 9 and 10, Retro city rampage, Quantum Conundrum, SSF4:AE, Uncharted and Gravity Rush for vita is free, Ratchet and Clank, Little Big Planet 2, ect. It pays for itself if you're open to all kinds of games.
