You're doing a great job killing the franchise, Ubi. Keep at it! In other Ubisoft news (and infinitely more interesting to read) Rayman Origins actually managed to turn a profit. I still don't see a new game coming any time soon, or ever. |

For reference, here's the link I posted in the other thread: http://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2012/02/15/assassin-39-s-creed-3-release-date.aspx And like I said there, Ubisoft has burned me out on Assassin's Creed. Really, it was their most successful franchise and they're just burying it into the ground by milking it. I don't understand why developers feel the need to cram their most successful series down our throats on a yearly basis. Assassin's Creed has basically just become the Western world's Final Fantasy. |

The damn British have the apple! So I guess in AC4 (even though it wouldn't make much sense to have more of these after 2012) will be in our time. Would be nice to roam around a city as a regular guy in a white hoodie jumping on random people. |

This is a teaser trailer. For the first official trailer. I have no words for how well Ubi's doing at making me not interested at all. I already know all I want to know from the boxart, the leaked screens and the setting. |

I still don't understand why people keep mentioning the bolded part; we had games and movies in the 80's and 90's referencing the year 2000 in similar vein to The Jetsons, so what difference does it make if we pass by 2012 IRL? I don't see it making the game any less relevant since it's trying to tie in the supposedly prohpecised end of the world with the game's backstory. As for the rest of what you said, it's the game we've been wanting since the begining. Freakin' lightsaber hidden blades and laser guns while jumping from highrise to highrise. This game's setting seems pretty bland if you ask me, I don't know why the American Revolution would seem more appealing that romping through Jerusalem or Rome. The visuals ARE pretty though, I'll give them that, but yeah, my relationship with this series is over, I don't think I can really bother anymore. |

So apparently, Ubisoft did this thing where they made everyone advertise the fuck out of this game just so they could unlock the next preview trailer. Here's a few choice words someone at Kotaku had to say about it: http://kotaku.com/5908761/the-low-hanging-fruit-why-gamers-shouldnt-become-billboards I think my favourite part of the article was this quote here:

Ubisoft is already at work on post-launch episodic DLC. Or, they're at least putting together a second team to start working on post-launch episodic DLC. Link for Arem. On a different note, Ubisoft's Creative Lead says that Desmond Miles' part in the series needs to end. He's also claiming that ACIII is "almost a new IP." ...Really? |

Took you long enough. Personally, I was actually starting to get excited for this game, as the game's world looks and feels like the world from the first game, if not more so. Thinking back, the cities from Ezio's games felt cramped in comparison to Altaïr's game. Now, we see a large and expansive world that looks like it truly invokes freedom unlike AC has yet to show and then... Ubisoft pulls this shit. I'm not really fond of DLC being developed while the game is in production, or hasn't been released yet. I won't deny that it's acceptable in some situations (like NSMB2's extra Coin Rush levels) but I'm inclined to respond negatively to DLC either being developed alongside the main game, as I don't really understand what's stopping them for including that content with the main game, especially if it impacts the main aspect of the game. It's a bit of a highly arguable subject, but as it stands, after how we've seen other studios handle the concept of DLC, including Ubisoft, I am a bit wary of the idea now. |

Took me long enough? I didn't play any of the games beyond the first one. I was already skeptical about this one so I have shown no interest in it. I've just been quiet about it. |
