The US Federal Bureau of Investigation [FBI] has quietly released details of plans to continuously monitor the global output of Facebook, Twitter and other social networks, offering a rare glimpse into an activity that the FBI and other government agencies are reluctant to discuss publicly. http://www.newscientist.com/blogs/onepercent/2012/01/fbi-releases-plans-to-monitor.html |

Sure, like if we were plotting something against America, we would use a social network. |

Are you referring to the revolutions in Egypt and Libya, and then the protesters in Syria and Yemen? Or am I missing something? |

Social networking sites were used to organise the protests in Egypt, that's about the extent of what I know. Protests =/= insurrection. |

And even so, what exactly is wrong with an insurrection at this point? People constantly talk about giving the powers that be a swift kick up the ass but I'd like to see someone actually do it. |

Ah yeah, Twitter was useful, Also was fax machines, as some land lines in offices were still functioning. FBI can have fun with that, it doesn't take a oldfag to know that IRC's is where anything srs is done. Private IRC servers channels make it a bloody cunt for the feds to look for anons, activists, and revolutionaries. And IRC's can be ran off any half way decent phone, even prepaid, long as they support java based client installation or modding. And recently since smartphones are so popular any one could use IRC's, and unless the internet goes out every where, IRC's are going no where. |

Steer away from fascism, not only historical fascism, the fascism of Hitler and Mussolini but also the fascism in us all, in our heads and in our everyday behavior, the fascism that causes us to love power, to desire the very thing that dominates & exploits us, causing our own inevitable corruption. ![]() www.Haxradio.org | |
