Yo Aroxys, I got some Halloween stuff (some spells and Voodoo cursed equipment) if you want any. Now, I'll just go find a way to kill Merasmus. |

Thanks. I'll add you as soon as I'm able. Also, I did manage to get a Pile of Curses and got a Haunted Voodoo-Cursed Heavy Soul. Edit: Oh yeah, before I forget. It turns out that the Halloween update added something else zombie-related. You need sv_cheats active to use it, but you can make zombie mobs spawn in any non-Halloween map. tf_halloween_zombie_mob on the console, then tinker with the various commands as you see fit. You can manipulate how often they spawn in (in seconds), how many spawn once they start, how much damage they do, ect. On the other hand, this thing is in an alpha build or somewhere around there, because the zombies don't have sounds, nor are they affected by the abundant status effects the game has to offer. In fact, parts of their bodies vanish upon death, and if you see them spawn in, you'll see them as RED team members in the civilian pose before they load up the proper model. Managed to get my hands on the hat you get for killing Merasmus. Took me a second victory to do so as I was slightly lost the first time and ended up just enjoying listening to the book talk, so some douche on the enemy team killed me, even though the server rules explicitly stated not to kill anyone on the skull island place, lest they get auto kicked. On that note, I keep wondering why I don't play TF2 as often. Playing it now just reminded me. All of the good servers give me latency times of over 300 ms, so I lose connection to said servers within a minute of joining. And it's too hard trying to find a server that I can get a decent rate on, so I don't even bother. Which results in me not playing the damned game. |

So after over five hours in a server dedicated to killing Merasmus, WITH the mod that prevents players killing each other whenever he shows up, I finally got the hat, despite having killed him days ago. I had to deal with a couple of certifiable griefers who did everything to prevent me, as in me PERSONALLY, to get the hat. Everything from standing in my way and slowing me down/getting me stuck while fighting him, to killing me when we reach Skull Island, because they're dicks like that. They finally left and I managed to score the hat. My fingers ache, yet I feel so damn relieved. Griefers can go to hell and anyone who supports that kind of behaviour should jump right in with them. Seriously, fuck you assholes, if you don't want to help out, then get off the fucking server and go join one that caters to your sick, twisted, sadistic whims. |

Not exactly a TF2 update, but there's now an official "trading" site for Steam where you can trade Steam Wallet cash for items. The Steam Community Market Oh and I guess the Second Annual Saxxy Awards happened. The Source Film Maker stuff was great. The Replay category, not so much. |

A bit late on the draw here, since the update will possibly happen today, but Valve added mysterious RoboCrates to the game a few days ago. Probably has something to do with this |

Huh, so more robo-hats? Can't really argue with that, though I'm going to want to see what's been robo-ized before I start dropping money on robo-keys to open robo-crates. |

Someone's missing the point of a war-themed hat simulator. j/k Anywho, the Steampipe update is now live, and it's cut the amount of disk space you need to run TF2 down to 6.4gb, from a bit over 12gb. Presumably it loads and runs faster too, but the reduction in disk usage alone is quite nice. |

Decided to toss five bucks on keys since I support community-driven events like this, and got The Filamental and the Bonk Leadwear. I'm only happy with the former. |
