I think that's more to do with the artstyle shift than what the original mercs were actually like, though.![]() To be honest though I liked Lore in a Minute's take better. |

Those were the original models/skins for the TFC mercs. A second, more detailed set was released later on, which are what the ones in the comics are based on. |

I meant the original original mercs, the ones first shown in the comic before the Team Fortress Classic ones. |

The 1850s mercs are a bunch of historical figures (and Fu Manchu) Speaking of, some modders/modelers in the community were working on making them as replacements for the current ones. |

See, that's what I'm talking about, though it'd be nice if Valve released it as official content. Would give the game a bit more flavour between updates for hats and weapons as well as Holiday related stuff. |

You know, that might actually be fun seeing as the Mercs of old probably used completely different weapons, or at least more primitive ones compared to the modern mercs. Maybe a couple of historical maps where you use the older mercs and their weapons to fight over two pieces of identical land endlessly? They already sort of did that with SD_Doomsday, since that was an event that happened in the timeline's past. |

This is a thing now: I'm down with these becoming regular things considering the actual main game is lacking in any story content. Also, I hope they're indicators of upcoming updates; mutant bread as an event would be cool. |

3 Days to live 3 sided doubled dice Spy told Scout 3 times of that thing he already told him. Half Life 3 confirmed. Edited by Havoc the Tenrec, Jun 20 2014, 01:59 AM.
