Sega announced that it has acquired Spiral Knights and Puzzle Pirates developer Three Rings. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Sega's short term goals for Three Rings includes having them help the team complete work on the Dr. Who MMO and continue its support for its popular free-to-play MMO Spiral Knights.
