This would've sold me if they'd let you mix and match as you please, much like MK: Armageddon did. In Armageddon you'd get to pick out between four special moves (projectile, charge, launcher and teleport) as well as individual attacks, combos, fighting style, weapon style and even the godamn stance. This game has the ability to do that and then some, yet they've severely limited what you can do with your character, aside from mishmash bodyparts from various characters from the show. It seems like a waste, in all honesty, especially considering older games have been building this up since the begining with customising stat boosts, items and ability strengthening by stacking. I suppose the upside now is that you get to go through the story with your custom character, as opposed to redoing the show's entire storyline with preset guys. That is a pretty big plus and I really hope they've incorporated some kind of system where things changed based on how you tackle situations (like choosing to fight a guy or not, or maybe losing a fight as opposed to winning it). Really, Dragonball has the potential to be a very open book experience, but it seems that the developers are just content with rehashing the same game over and over again, making very minor tweaks to gameplay mechanics with new iterations. |

When they remaster footage... they really add more layers of light... too many too the point it looks nothing like it used to. Edited by Havoc the Tenrec, Sep 9 2011, 04:11 AM.

If this follows DBZ Kai, then that's probably the case, since that's where that iteration of the show stops. |

I don't know, that wouldn't make too much sense, too many characters would be left out. You'd end up with even less characters than Raging Blast 1. Edited by Havoc the Tenrec, Sep 9 2011, 07:49 PM.

That can probably means they're leaving more room for a sequel and we all know how they love to milk this franchise as much as they can. =/ |

Well it's just a trailer showing one portion, it doesn't necessarily mean that's the whole storyline. "Android Saga Trailer" probably means there's going to be other trailers and sagas. But I'm sure they're going to make a sequel either way... they always do. |

Well...uh...ok. I want this game now. That was fucking awesome. Only potential issue is that it seems that the Super Attacks automatically engage a sort of cutscene like thing, where reaction time plays a part. I want to see how that bit works out. |

While I love how more cinematic these games get, it also seems to me like I have less and less control over what the fighters do. Everything seems to be engaged through QTEs and one button special attacks and I don't really find that appealing. Also, those camera angles; how do people feel comfortable playing with them switching up like that every few seconds? I'd assume that's why the guy had problems reacting to certain things, because the angle would change and he'd be facing the wrong direction and such. |

Yeah, the QTEs have me worried too. Switching to a 2d fighting plane at random times would probably also get annoying imho. I don't know what to think of all this yet, but I still wont be able to stop myself from getting it. |

Wow, I forgot all about this and it came out like yesterday or something. I saw review scores in the 9's out of ten... and no one is really complaining about anything so far at gamefaqs. This could be a pretty epic thing. Edit: I just bought it today... and Holy Shit it SUCKS compared to the others. It has some pluses though... new animation, old + new story. Classic songs.
