As Miranda took Cronus' hand, the two elders and the young girl were whisked away from the diner, and in the blink of an eye the trio were seemingly flying through space and time. Miranda would probably see mountains, treetops, open sky, endless oceans, spiritual currents through each of those, and the own particles that made up her body fly through an unknown medium similar to a ship on the ocean. The group landed feet first onto something that resembled marble and steel mixed together. The floor and walls were covered in this material, with the ceiling being held up by pillars of black crystal-like rods cascading together in an unorthodox manner that didn't make geographical sense, but existed nonetheless. Fog or smoke was billowing from off the ground and filled the platform with a blanket of mystic cover. Through the windows or cut away sections appeared to be the vastness of space and there appeared to be frost arcing over the glass that was both transparent and reflecting an unseen light source at the same time. Miranda's words caught up with her, as her mouth moved and Cronus and Venus both stood in front of her, their stern and wise eyes catching hers in an empathetic way. This would be a lot to take in, but they needed to start their mission and Miranda was a part of it. Cronus was the first to speak, his lower voice flowing with authority, "The young man you saw was possessed by a demonic force, and we dispelled the grip he had on the boy..." "...and in doing so, we eased the boy's body and soul so he could rest in peace. There was nothing more that we could do sweetheart." Venus broke through, with a very quiet and caring voice. Cronus nodded his head and began walking, with Venus standing next to Miranda, hoping to walk with her while Cronus lead. Their footsteps made noise, but the sound died off just as soon as it was created. The platform was a good eighty or so feet wide in all directions and as they walked in between the hallway and the main floor, Miranda could probably see that there were more platforms similar to this one, and the main floor had shimmering lights of purple and blue that lit up a door made of the same crystal-like material, but was slowly opening up for the trio as they kept walking towards it. "As for where we are now, my dear, this is our Temple." Cronus told Miranda. Venus looked at Cronus with a look of bewilderment. "Cronus, don't you think you should tell her exactly WHO we are?" The old man, his beard bobbing as he chuckled, replied "You may be right Venus. Miranda, we are Cronus and Venus, Oracles of Time and Space. As for what we do, once we are in the chamber, we will explain everything to you...now come this way." The Temple was vast and ever changing, as if it was alive and acting on mystical energies that flowed from the supernatural. There appeared to be three more beings at the center of the next floor, up a transparent staircase; they were sitting in chairs made out of the steel and marble mixture. Julian, Scott, Ryoa, and now this unknown figure were standing near Monte who hissed and growled, but made no more movement. "I take it this creature is the cause of what had transpired here?" Julian was the first to answer, "I'm not quiet sure, but thank you for your help. I was able to sense you out in the parking lot and mistook you for a possible threat, I apologize." Scott butted in, "What do you mean "threat" Dad?" Julian shook his head, signaling to Scott to let the figure answer for itself. Ryoa looked down on his foe, who gripped his missing appendage. It was pathetic really, a creature who had commanded denizens of the dark and now lay defeated and conquered. Ryoa felt angry still, and his anger took over his actions. Without warning, the youth moved his arm and palm open towards the creatures head, summoning another energy beam. "RYOA, NO!!!" Julian's arm moved just in time to grab Ryoa's right wrist and pull the blast away from it's intended target, striking the creature in the lower ribs and decimating his body more. The demon screamed in agony and pain, and blood was flowing like water from the open wounds on both the creatures arm and now his amputated tail body. "Let go of me Dad...this thing's gonna' die." Ryoa's eyes were blood red and he spoke with much anger and unlike the normal young man that Julian knew. The aura that Julian was alarmed of before looked like a calm breeze compared to the hurricane going on right now. The blood red eyes of his son matched his flowing aura signature, and he could see that Ryoa was preparing to blast another attack...right at him. A flick of the wrist knocked his son's hand in the air, as the beam of hot white energy blasted through the roofing and brought down some support beams and light fixtures. Julian's other hand was flat and aimed right at the back of Ryoa's neck and head. The blow struck true, and the youth was knocked out instantaneously. His body went limp and hit the floor. "Dad, what the HELL was that?!" Scott burst forth. "Why....what...um...are you ok?!" "I'm fine Scott. I'm not sure exactly what is up with your brother, but he isn't acting himself, and it seems like he's so lost in his anger that he won't hesitate attacking us." Julian paused, "...all he wants is for this...demon...to die and we still need him alive." Scott's eyes were still big from the sight of his father knocking the dog shit out of his brother, but knew to trust in his dear old dad. Julian walked over to the demon who hissed and screamed at his, before the man's fist silenced him, knocking the creature out cold with a punch straight to the forehead. "Grab your brother and drag him to the truck...it's going to be one hell of a tough situation to get out of here with him and this demon...ah Barry! Where have you been?" Julian welcomed the sight of his friend, who was huffing and puffing. "Seriously Julian....who the HELL do you think turned the DAMN lights on!?" Barry coughed. "This sexy hunk of man isn't just a muscle machine...I've got my smarts too!" Barry was surprised to see Ryoa and the demon both knocked out, as well this new figure. Julian was the first to quell his friends questions. "Give me a hand here, Barry and you... take this demon to my truck and we will see what information we can get out of him at the house..." Barry wasn't sure what was going on, but he knew it would be easier if they were on home turf. So he grabbed the body that was left of this demon and started dragging. "This thing is bleeding a lot....are you sure it isn't going to wake up and start eating on some of my ass?" Barry questioned. "For someone who is a "muscle machine", you're sure worrying about something you can obviously put down if it comes to that right?" Julian joked with his friend. "That is understandable. It appears that whatever these creatures are, they may share a similar..."biology" to my own." Nightmare remained where he was, not wanting to interfere with what clearly appeared to be "family business". The older man knocked out his own son, who seemed to be in some kind of crazed, posessed state at the time. They were joined by a police officer who proceeded to help the others haul the creature outside the mall. Nightmare turned to see if he could find Ethan amidst the chaos, but his new partner in crime was nowhere to be found. Perhaps his work had been complete, or perhaps the will of the reapers demanded something else of him. Either way, Nightmare did not have time to mull over it; seeing as he was knee deep in whatever was transpiring here, he felt the need to get to the bottom of it. He followed the troupe outside, keeping to the shadows as they loaded the creature and the unconcious young man into their car. He decided to follow them to their home using the rooftops and sticking to the shadows to avert any suspicion due to his conspicuous form. |

Viper left the shopping mall behind him, his eyes and ears open for more trouble. As he did, he came upon a diner in town. Slowing down, he parked his motorcycle in a vacant part of the lot and looked around. As he did, his mind tried to make sense of what happened in the crater. The thing in the crater reacted to his proximity, particularly when he reached out with his arm. He couldn't help it; it was burning to touch it, and when it burns, you can't just ignore it. There was also something about it being the first. If there were more, were they close or over a great distance? Either way, it sounded like he was in for the hunt of his life. Looking over at the diner, he wondered if it sold anything strong and doubted it. His own personal reserves were a little on the dry side, and he knew he needed to restock soon. Nothing like a stiff drink after "crossing blades" with the horde after all. He looked down at himself; he was still soaked in blood. While the blood that had spattered on his exposed flesh was now absorbed, the blood on his clothes had not. It seemed for now he would have to resort to his civilian wear if he was going to eat in peace at the diner. He pressed a button on his motorcycle, causing the wings of it to unfold. Reaching in, he pulled out a tattered motorcycle coat and a large arm glove to cover his Reaver. Changing his blood-stained overcoat with the motorcycle coat, he pulled on the glove as he made his way to the diner, hoping that the stains on anything below the belt wouldn't be noticed. Stepping inside the diner, something struck him as off about it. Looking around, he saw nothing beyond a typical diner, yet something in the air just didn't smell right. He felt his Reaver tremble underneath the arm glove. Something happened here all right, but he couldn't see anything indicating something did. "Looks like the night isn't over yet," he thought as he sat down in a corner booth. As he waited for the waitress to show up, his eyes continued to comb the diner. Knowing his luck, another demonic horde would leap out at him here as well. Good thing he brought one of his handguns hidden away in his coat with him. |

"It's been almost a month since I made that dreadful mistake of joining an 'R''P' with Coro With A 'C' in it. Now, I am stuck in this stagnating space station thanks to the 'G''M'. Will I be able to free myself and finish my story, or will I be stuck in limbo? Only time will tell....." Kyosuke spoke to the headset he had on his head, with the words spoken being written on an iPad. |
