Why do people act surprised when Sega makes a game that's not a Sonic game?

Seriously, people. Go! Play! Yakuza!

But on topic: this does look interesting. :3

Because the general consensus is Sega refuses to give anything the time of day unless it's Sonic (I direct you towards the Streets of Rage: Remake fiasco as a good example). They've mainly delegated themselves to publishing these days and don't produce much unless it stars Sonic in some form or another.

In any case, looks cool, kinda like Gears but vs robots instead of monsters.

Player classes and multiplayer details revealed:

http://sticktwiddlers.com/2011/10/18/news-binary-domain-player-classes-and-multiplayer-details-revealed/

Quote:

The classes that players will be able to chose from which will determine their style of play and the weapon they start with are as follows:

Heavy Gunner – A class for the damage givers and takers. The heavy gunner is slower, hardier and starts with the heavy firing Light Machine Gun (LMG).

Recon – The Recon class is more nimble with long range support using the Sniper Rifle being a speciality.

Special Operations – The class best suited for a varied style, rapid movement players. This class will see you start with a Sub Machine Gun.

Demolitions – Up close and personal destruction of targets and opponents is the Demolition classes remit. This class starts with a Shotgun to get straight into closed quarters.

Assault – The Assault class is designed to be first in the fight. A combination of firepower and manoeuvrability that sees these players start with an Assault Rifle.

Those who are used to playing the likes of Team Fortress, BFBC2 and COD titles will be familiar with these multiplayer modes. All of the modes below support up to 10 players with the exception of Invasion which only supports up to four.

Data Capture – Here each team must race to capture the other’s data module. This must then be returned to the team console in order to steal the data and score. Just like a version of capture the flag.

Domain Control – The attacking team need to gain control of the areas defended by the opposition within the time limit of the level.

Team Survial – A straight forward game of last-man-standing with the team to have the last player remaining being crowned the winner!

Operation – One team defends the supplies, whilst the other must race to destroy them. Intensifying objectives maintains variety and requires adaptability.

Invasion – Working together, players must defeat progressively harder waves of robot attackers.

Team Deathmatch – The mode that everyone shouls know all about. The team with the most kills before time runs out wins.

Free For All – Yes the classic free-for-all returns as well. Bring chaos to the world of Binary Domain as it is every man/woman for themselves.
