I don't understand. If the intention was not to split audiences, then wouldn't they have been better off not mentioning the game at all, if not cancelling it outright? The way I see it, it seems counterproductive to keep hope of one (near-dead) game alive when you specifically want all attention on the other. Isn't it funny how both sides of this crossover have seemingly hit direct opposite ends of development hell, though? Capcom's side saw results almost immediately, but they were rushed and unbalanced. Namco's side never had anything to show at all, and interest petered out as a result. I wonder if that's a coincidence. |
