Aksahcorp saw everyone looking up at something that sat above the building structures with a female human appearing on the surface of the long yet flat screen.

"My name is Brianna Ironcrown and I'm here representing The Black Temple of the Great Prophet Ragnar's Holy Empire of Sacred Humanity.

A small amount of excitement came to his face.

"...There's only two little things we need to do, one is to set up an embassy somewhere on the outskirts of this nice little place you live in, and the other is to round up all the disgusting mutants and beastmen you've got running around and stop them from breeding and spreading their disease any further. You may well be seeing our enforcers shortly to come and say hello! Don't try to hide!".

The excitement soon left after hearing the about removing the beastmen and mutants.

"Why would humans want to remove gifted or supernatural people?"

Rapid thuds were heard down the sidewalk followed by a roar. Soon a being surrounded by purple coloring appeared and blazed by him, leaving imprints behind

"I take it that person isn't taking the speech very well...maybe I could do something to brighten his day".

Aksahcorp followed the imbedded trail in hopes of running into the person who steamed off in the purple flames. Turning with the roads, briskly passing by the pedestrians. He knew his curious nature would get him in trouble from time to time but it is one of those things he couldn't help. Still it did seem very odd that humans, the half of him he wished to learn more about, wishes to rid the world of people similar to himself.
"I'm Bad, but that's good. I'm not good and that's not bad. There's no one I'd rather be than me"

Hedj's ears flicked back as she ran, and her pace had slowed down as she got closer to her destination.

She could hear something behind her. Someone following.

'I need a new route,' she thought in desperation. 'I need to lose it. It's obviously coming to kill me.'

The beast's path deviated from the sidewalk, charging down an alleyway and beginning an ascent up an iron-wrought staircase at the side of a building to reach the roof.

---------------------------

She knew little of the beast-men of this land, but she knew the ones back home were not a disease, and they were not foul. They were of God, like everyone else, and gifted with the power to do great things and the free will to choose, as all of God's children were.

She wasn't beyond the belief of alien existence by now, but was still wanting to disbelieve this. It was another Crusade. She could not allow this to happen.

Jennifer got up from her seat and apologised to the barista and waiters for breaking the coffee cup, handing over some money to pay for it.

"God bless you," she said, tipping her trilby as she left in a hurry. She didn't know where she was going, but she knew that, if they were anything of the zealousness of her own enemies, these invaders would be merciless and blanketing - even she might be a target, despite being entirely human, as the Awakening could be enough for them to consider her a mutant.

Her concern was not with herself, but with the city as a whole.

[Sorry I'm still slow, probably going to be like this for about another month or so because I honestly do have a lot of work to do.
Hope I'm not boring you too much with the wait, or then attempting to move things too fast to compensate :P]

A couple of minutes later, Metal Chao was back in his shop swapping some of the hardware on the shelves with some from the back of the store.
To be frank it was a bit of an eccentric business, the owner's somewhat short attention span when it came to machinery meaning that he'd generally make something and then never reproduce it, so amost every item on the shelves was unique. They were also generally unlabelled and quite often difficult to identify simply from apperance and this, combined with Metal Chao's similarly short patience and temper when dealing with customers meant that actually he didn't usually end up attracting a whole load of customers.
Almost all of his profit came simply from fixing things for people or taking on larger contract work for corporations, the whole shop thing was really more of an expensive hobby than anything else.
Business generally went a little more smoothly when Robert was around as he would generally be "volunteered" into manning the till and dealing with people who actually wanted to buy things, leaving Metal Chao to tinker around in the back but today (perhaps unsuprisingly) they were getting even less custom than usual. Nobody had even walked through the door since the bizzare announcement earlier.

"You put the closed sign on or something? I know most places aren't open Sundays but I would have thought-"
He was interrupted as a sudden crash and a rumbling from outside shook several pieces of merchandise from the shelves.
Robert dived under the counter as a large tubular weapon bounced onto the floor and discharged in his direction. A beam of red light burnt a black scorchmark into the wall inches from where his face had been.
"Oh for God's sake what is it now?"
"Don't you put safety catches on these things?! That almost killed me!"
"What? Oh."

Metal Chao hadn't even noticed his accidental near shooting of his shop assistant.
"It's a gun. Why would I want to add safety? That's like the exact opposite of the purpose of a gun."
"Are all of these weapons live right now? Do you seriously keep a shop full of loaded and fully functional weapons?"
"Of course not, that would be ridiculous. They'd close me down then for sure.
I usually remember to take the batteries out, I must just have forgotten is all.
The chance of that happening more than once probably isn't that high."

"That's just incredibly irre-"
"Anyway I'm going to go see what that noise was, pick some of these up would you?"

Outside a small crowd was once again gathering, although this time the object of their interest could be seen pretty easily even from Metal Chao's stunted height. A tall black cylinder about twice the height of a man and three across was wedged into a new crater on the pavement, surrounded in a haze of smoke.
The surface was reflective and unmarked apart from a single horizontal band running in a circle across the middle. A stylised circular face with a grinning maw full of triangular teeth was embossed across it, its single fist-sized eye pulsing green at regular intervals.
A man in a flak jacket was calmly directing the gathering group of onlookers to stand away from it, and accosted Metal Chao as he clambered through the crowd on long, spindly mechanical legs thrice the length of his own body.

"Excuse me, sir. For your own safety I'm going to have to ask that you stand back from here. We don't know what this is and it could be dangerous."
"But it's made of some kind of metal! I'm good with machines, I could probably figure out what it is!"
"Sir as a registered NASF officer I'm going to have to ask you to stand back from here.
This is an artifact from some kind of foreign power, we can't have civilians tampering with it before we know what it is."
"NASF? You certainly got here fast... Is this sort of thing even your justiction?"
"I just happened to be in the area when this thing landed out of the sky, there's no great conspiracy here. I'm keeping people away from a potentially deadly object that has just appeared in the street while I wait for backup.
Now sir, if you please, stand back a little."

While incredibly stubborn and eccentric, Metal Chao wasn't quite crazy enough to mess around with the New Alastia Special Forces. They were around specifically to stop superpowered beings going on a rampage, and many of their agents had some pretty dangerous powers themselves. This guy looked pretty normal, but that didn't really mean anything.
Grudgingly, he backed away again and was shortly joined by Robert in simply looking at the thing and waiting for something to happen.

For a few brief minutes black pods continued to fall from the sky, crashing into streets all over the city. Interestingly whoever seemed to be aiming them seemed intent on minimising collateral damage. None of them landed on buildings or directly on top of people, only a bare minimum happened to fall onto a road.
The reflective black metal composing the exterior seemed to defy all attempts at brute force opening, but also seemed to lack any inclination to reveal its contents on its own, awaiting some signal from above.
This was starting to look less and less like a publicity stunt.

"Mayor Suarez? Adrian Bartholomew here. I'm very sorry to disturb you at such an early hour on the weekend, but I do have some inquiries concerning the events from earlier today..."

The conversation continued as Adrian held the receiver to his wireless phone close to his ear while he looked down at the parking lot from his office window. He absently nodded his head as the mayor relayed whatever information he did or did not have on the events that had transpired earlier, finally prompting a thank you from Adrian before he hung up. He sighed as he slumped back in his chair, biting down on his lower lip in frustration.

The mayor apparently had no idea who was behind the message and he assured Adrian that he had not scheduled or even agreed to any publicity stunts to be performed within the confines of the city recently. Adrian did not believe that any freelance group or any organisation had access to the kind of technology used to create those kinds of holographic images, not to mention what the mayor had told him about all the clocks in the city. It seemed that the mayor had probably already had his hands full with the calls to city hall from concerned citizens.

"I don't like this...not at all."

Before he could even fathom what any of this meant, he heard a distinctive high pitched whining sound before being followed by a very audible crash, causing the ground to lightly shake. Despite being on the top floor of the building, he knew all too well that something had fallen nearby, as he swiftly got up from his seat and looked back down at the parking lot again. There was some kind of object that had managed to embed itself into the ground nearby, prompting the very few people within the center to come out and investigate. He himself followed suit, dashing out of his office and taking the nearby elevator all the way to the lobby. He rushed out of the building to investigate, standing by the other onlookers.

"What...is that?"

A gleaming, obsidian cylinder was situated in the small crater it had created by falling from the sky above, a bizarre insignia upon it blinking on and off. Adrian cautiously approached, warning everyone else to stand back as he put his hand to it, feeling along it for something. He gently rapped his knuckles onto it, hearing a response that implied the cylinder was hollow. Was this what the girl had implied before? Was this some kind of drop pod that held a small invasionary platoon?

"Everyone, get back inside and put the center on lockdown. Call the police, tell them exactly what's going on."

The staff and handful of visitors complied as they all headed back into the building. The building underwent lockdown as metallic shutters sealed it off from within, ensuring nothing would penetrate it without the proper access codes. Adrian held his ground, standing firmly by the alien object as he awaited the arrival of the authorities. He was not sure what he could possibly do in the case of an attack, but he could not put anyone at risk if anything were to happen.

The dream was beautiful, filled with colourful and exotic hues. Kyosuke pranced through the pass of the lush gardens. The place seemed to draw a person in with it's beauty. Kyosuke came to an abrupt stop when he saw a group of people offering fruits and sacrifices to a slutty female performing sexual intercourse with five women and one man. A sign was hanging on top of the woman titled 'Valhalla'. Kyosuke quickly deduced that he was in the graveyard of the Nordic gods. Kyosuke's eyes widened to the conclusion that Valhalla meant two things; his eyes recognized the people performing the bad deeds were not Odin and Freya and the rest, they were....

"That's a lot of beeps.....you know what, I'm gonna do something the guy from the first post should have done..." Kyosuke spoke to the the alarm clock as it danced around its position, urging someone to shut it off; the alarm clock found itself being thrown out of the window of the apartment Kyosuke inhabited. The room was filled with silence once more; the silence was broken when his cellphone rang.

"Kyosuke's Car Wash Services, you drive and wreck them, we wash them and spit on them you filthy hobos. Please note that if you are Egyptian or own a Honda or you are Egyptian driving a Honda, you will not be serviced with extreme prejudice. Now how can I help you sir?......Herr Poltercrastinator? What the hell man? I've been looking all over for you in New Alastia, ended up with Looney Douche and 'B''B' Chick. Now you decide to call me?..........What? Wrong number? Then hang up Erik without a 'c''!" Kyosuke hung up the phone angrily. He paced back and forth across his apartment; an apartment he doesn't remember clearly how he acquired. His eyes caught the newspaper lying on the ground in front of the door.

"First it's a wrong number, then I find myself in Silent Hill Four The Room.....something better be good in that newspaper." Kyosuke's hands flipped through the pages, scrutinizing every page for something interesting.

"Oh look, the Yankees won again, nice.........Ooooooh goody, the carnival is in town, I should check that out since I don't know what I'm supposed to be doing here."

No offence man but it's been three months, I can't even really remember what I was planning to do next let alone have much interest in doing it.
I'd assumed there just wasn't any interest other than mine and Psycho's and I am not writing an RP for two people. Got other projects now, including ones using what I was planning to eventually get to here, so I'm not really planning on adding anything else to this topic.

((The purpose of the post was to encourage you to keep the RP going, the RP is interesting and people joined, so I just hated to see it not go anywhere. It is unfortunate that you will not keep it going.))

I'd like to point out that two people who joined this RP did so because they haven't done it in a good while and saw it as an opportunity to get back into the game. They also kept asking me where this was going and why it wasn't being updated and I told them to go back to you because I didn't want to be the guy to always heckle the RP creator over when they'll get back on track. I think the fact that it just up and stopped didn't really do much for their morale over RPing anymore.

I think this should stand as a lesson for anyone who intends to start an RP in the future; don't leave people hanging and finish what you start. It is incredibly disappointing getting your hopes up for something like this and being let down. I'm just glad I've had three other RPs to fall back on.
