Except, as the article states down the very bottom, Atlus as a company doesn't exist anymore. Apparently it was dissolved back in 2010. Index is completely responsible for the game publishing stuff and just uses the Atlus name as a brand D:

Sorry, I meant Atlus USA, the North American publisher that brings us all these awesome games.

Nintendo has a point, but at the same time, they are like "burn everyone, but used games are important."

Like stabbing someone and then getting them a bandaid. Lol.

Reggie says Nintendo is considering reviving older franchises. We obviously need the holy trinity of Metroid, Starfox and F-Zero to make a colossal comeback.

Here's the plan. Give Platinum Games the chance to make StarFox, and let Team Ninja try Metroid again but hire new writers. Not sure about F-Zero though...

I like it when people use the word "gay" in any context other than a homosexual one - it only proves that they have the maturity of a five year old, as if their obsession with shooters didn't already do a good job of pointing that out. It's also pretty amusing that he pointed out Skyrim considering the fact that, y'know, it's set in the bloody medival era and doesn't even have muskets, let alone generic modern firearms.

But just for fun, let's play around with his logic a bit.

game - gun = gay
game + gun = -gay
game + gun + Arem = ???

The writing issue was Nintendo's fault (fucking Sakamoto), so they'd have to look for someone a little more experienced doing work with sci-fi, if you ask me. As for F-Zero, GX did fine between Nintendo, Sega and Namco, so they should totally go for that again.

GX and AX were amazingly sexy.

They were a great way to give the series more depth and, in all honesty, I can't take any of the other games in the franchise seriously because of how "lacking" and outdated they feel in comparison. AX/GX really raised the bar on the franchise and, maybe that's why Nintendo hasn't made any serious attempt to revitalise it yet.

If I recall correctly, Miyamoto literally has no idea what can be done in a new F-Zero game that would actually warrant its creation. He's actually really surprised to see that people want a new F-Zero for that reason.

Figured as much. Though, really, they'd just need to make the game look prettier and add more content (racers, vehicles, tracks), in all honesty, perhaps give the actual races/tracks a few more gimmicks to keep things interesting (similar to what Mario Kart does with every new entry). Hell, they could maybe have the player create a custom character/racing machine for a full blown story mode and give them the ability to upgrade and alter them throughout.

Really, it's not too much of a stretch, I mean, it is a racing game with a twist. You don't really see Gran Turismo fans going nuts for buying the same game, but with shinier cars with every entry.

I want to be able to jump out of my machine, leap across the track and FALCON PUNCH the shit out of competition.

Pffft.

That should be a minigame in Super Smash Bros. You stand on an F-Zero track with a character like Captain Falcon or Ganondorf and act as a track hazard, getting points for every vehicle you successfully punch off the track and into the abyss. Maybe earn coins, trophies, or stickers for each vehicle taken out?
