Radley Apr 18 2013, 04:02 AM Remember Liberation Maiden, the 3DS mech-based shoot-em-up from Suda51? Word is there may be a PS3 sequel. :3 Officially confirmed. Title is Liberation Maiden: SIN. It's a visual novel being devloped by 5pb, notable for the series of games with a semicolon in the middle of the title (AKA Chaos;Head, Steins;Gate and Robotics;Note.) Apparently initial talks were sparked by the CEO of parent company MAGES approaching Suda and commenting on how the 3DS original is a pretty fun game. Suda's response? "Wanna do something with it?" Releases in Japan later this year, exclusively for PS3. Localisation is naturally pretty slim, given the genre. VN's usually never make it out of Japan, regardless of how popular the series is internationally in different formats. Oh yea, Suda also has a hand in the scenario writing for this game, so he's still involved.

BL;DR Posts: 3,493 Group: Elite Member #80 Joined: September 7, 2010	As far as I'm concerned Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate has basically saved the whole fucking console for me. I have a pretty good feeling it'll last almost as long on its own as it takes for Bayonetta and The Wonderful 101 to come out, and I'm sure there's a few good games due in between even if memory fails me. My little bro picked up a copy of the 3DS version when he learnt they were cross compatible, and we had a blast hunting monsters he was clearly much too weak for. XD In more news on the THQ IP sales, Gearbox has acquired the Homeworld license and claims to be re-releasing the first two games digitally. Basically everything fucking else, including Darksiders, Red Faction and Supreme Commander, went to Nordic Games, who are best known for Painkiller for what I know of them.

On top of stupid delays and cancellations everywhere for Nintendo software (and the $80 price tag for first-party 3DS games) it's possible that the retail stock problem may be even worse than the US. Mainly because Luigi's Mansion 2, the 3DS version of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate and even Fire Emblem: Awakening were effectively sold out everywhere by the end of launch day here, with some stores only having enough stock to fill pre-orders. A lot of people are theorising that Nintendo Australia is deliberately causing physical stock shortages in order to push sales of the digital version on the 3DS eShop. They probably believe that, on some level, there's no need to waste effort on changing the market because of how trends have made it seem like everything's going digital anyway.

Posts: 17,366 Group: All Powerful Deity Member #1 Joined: December 30, 2005	http://mynintendonews.com/2013/04/24/satoru-iwata-steps-up-as-ceo-at-nintendo-of-america/ Yesterday's announcement of Nintendo's second year of losses has prompted Iwata to take the helm and become CEO of NOA, replacing Kimishima, who will instead take on the roles of Corporate Analysis and Administration and the General Affairs divisions of the head branch in Kyoto. I think Iwata taking on a more active role with NOA will be a good thing plus we've seen he has a pretty decent dynamic with Reggie, so the two could work off of each other with the synergy they put out.

Except the digital market is just as overpriced. Retailers drop the price by at least two or three bucks, sometimes even $10. Nintendo's games are permanently $70 here for 3DS games on the eSho (because I made a mistake in my previous post, $80 is for the Wii U games). Also, Enzan? Reggie's the President and Chief Operating Officer for NoA. A slightly different job than Iwata's being the Chief Executive Officer.
