Except, unlike the other three, it's too fucking lazy to port it's games onto another console. Console loyalties should not be an issue for devs/publishers and there will always be a market for any kind of game on any console. Trying to segregate the consumerbase based on what console they own and standardising that based solely on first party titles (which is redundant since Nintendo has publisher mature titles) is stupid and outdated.

While I don't have much affection for Deep Silver, and agree it's pretty fucking stupid they won't do Ninty ports out of some silly, outdated scapegoat, this:

Quote:

"Now, with the acquisition of Metro and Saints Row, it allows us to, again, go from strength to strength. But do I want to hire 500 people and build a world headquarters? That's not what we do -- nor is it what we need to do.

"I firmly believe that you do not need a giant organization anymore. That's what's killing so many publishers. The moment you don't have a giant, triple-A hit, your overhead absolutely eats you alive. What do you do if this big, triple-A game didn't hit? You've got to ship another one very quickly and hope that one does."
...is probably the wisest thing I've heard a publisher say in years, and the first time I've heard a publisher actually admit it's a problem. So if nothing else at least there's good confidence they won't splurge everything on one game and forcibly end the franchise because they had no way of breaking even with it.

Like your Wii News, Weather, and Mii channels?

Enjoy them while they can, because Nintendo is pulling the plug on them in June.

Some day the same will happen to the PS3 and 360 I guess. Does the original Xbox or PS2 even still do online?

The PS2 stopped doing hardware support earlier this year, so I imagine PlayStation Online, or whatever it was called, went out some time before.

I like it when people use the word "gay" in any context other than a homosexual one - it only proves that they have the maturity of a five year old, as if their obsession with shooters didn't already do a good job of pointing that out. It's also pretty amusing that he pointed out Skyrim considering the fact that, y'know, it's set in the bloody medival era and doesn't even have muskets, let alone generic modern firearms.

But just for fun, let's play around with his logic a bit.

game - gun = gay
game + gun = -gay
game + gun + Arem = ???

They didn't have a hub or particular thing on screen for it, you had to buy an additional thing for the back part, and if the game had the option to go online, it just would go on when you go to online multi-player.... from what I remember.

Some schmo at Crytek says graphics should make up 60% of a game. You know, not that gameplay is important at all. Oh, and some people these days can't really tell graphics apart from presentation and visualisation; just because something looks photorealistic doesn't mean it looks pretty.

Mario Galaxy, a game on a console that's an entire generation behind everyone else's in the graphics department, manages to look prettier than virtually every game on both competing platforms. Food for thought.

EDIT: Hell, you know what? Here's a bonus.

Back in 1997 this would have been considered cutting edge. Give it about 20 years and even Crysis will look just as ridiculous, mark my words.

And that's using the emulator's enhancements to boot. For all its huff and puff, Crysis is little more than just eye candy considering it's about as generic as FPSes, let alone videogames, come. Seriously, I can't think of any legitimate reason to buy a game like Crysis unless you're using it as a glorified utility to test your PC's specs.

Of course those asshats would support it since they were one of the originators of DRM in their games.
