 I almost killed someone with a video game, once upon a time. You gotta be careful with those Wiimotes, mang. One wrong swing can cave a man's skull in. XD

In all seriousness, though: the biggest problem with politics today (American politics, in particular, but this can apply anywhere) is that the people in power are the people who are unable to adapt with the times. Old people. Old people were afraid of comic books, old people were afraid of music with foul language, and old people are now afraid of vidya. Once the last of these old people are out of power, and people like you and me, the ones who can get with the times, take their place, then AND ONLY THEN will politics and society begin to improve.

 I am terrified to see the day come where I don't understand modern computers
I want to work in a technological industry so that is likely to delay things but I know it's going to happen eventually

My kids will hand me one of these newfangled bookspheres that are so much better than eBooks and I'll just grumble to myself and miss the crisp feeling of a "next page" button under my thumb

My mom thought that too, but changed her mind once she got one. About the tablet I mean.
She's always loved her smart phone for how much easier it makes her life. Maybe if you owned one for awhile you could join the dark side.

 It doesn't seem worth posting its own thread over just yet, but Sony's teasing for something on the 20th.

I'm fully expecting them to shoot themselves in the foot if this is what I think it is (ie: a PS4 reveal), but considering all we've already heard from rumours of Microsoft's next potential offering it's going to be pretty hard to do worse than that.

 Yeah I just saw this on Kotaku, almost a sure thing to be PS4, not sure what else it could even be. I think both Sony and M$ have teased at map projecting rooms, maybe they'll show something like that off.

 Reporters saying it's faster than the next 360, it'll have a 15 minute recording of your gameplay that you can save and upload or share with others. And... there'll be a small touch screen thing on the controller where the start and select buttons would go, not sure how I feel about that part.
