Remember how Jerry Lambert (the guy who plays Kevin Butler) was doing some ad for tires and it had him playing Mario Kart on the Wii? Well:

If I didn't know better, I'd say PETA was anti-gamer

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm craving a greasy-ass triple cheeseburger from Wendy's...

A more accurate depiction of PETA in a Pokemon game would be some variation of Team Rocket that steals Pokemon under the guise of "freeing" them, only to murder 95% of them because they don't have any idea of what to do with them. Naturally though they won't mention that because this is supposed to be a PR stunt.

Sony isn't making it hard for me to NOT miss my PS3 after trading it in to get the Wii U.

I like it when people use the word "gay" in any context other than a homosexual one - it only proves that they have the maturity of a five year old, as if their obsession with shooters didn't already do a good job of pointing that out. It's also pretty amusing that he pointed out Skyrim considering the fact that, y'know, it's set in the bloody medival era and doesn't even have muskets, let alone generic modern firearms.

But just for fun, let's play around with his logic a bit.

game - gun = gay
game + gun = -gay
game + gun + Arem = ???

Is it legit this time? We've heard this before. If it is, I guess it had to happen sometime.

It's a rumor from someone who's apparently reliable on the GAF. In any case, just because Miyamoto's no longer the head of EAD, doesn't mean he won't be designing games anymore. It just means he'll have less of a managerial position and will have more time to work on his thoughts.

He did say that he'd resign himself to a more "advisory" role eventually, I just didn't think it'd be this soon. Assuming these rumours are true, of course.

I haven't had much faith in Criterion since Burnout Paradise, but I'd be lying if I said there wasn't any real potential in bikers punching the shit out of each other Criterion style.

Black can just fuck off, though. When basically the entire draw of the game is the fact that the guns sound good, it shouldn't really come as a surprise that it turned out so damned shallow and boring in the end.

It was damned shallow, yeah, but it was good mindless fun for a change. It wasn't an FPS trying so hard and so pretentiously to be something else, like most modern FPSes do, it was just good, mindless fun. My dad really would've loved the game.

Psycho, stop making me cry ;_;

Black was really what i would call a predecessor to games like Modern Warfare: A game of set-piece battles with a limited choice of equipment and a whole lot of bad guys to wipe out. Yes, it was a linear slog. Yes, most of the levels were basically the same formula of 'fight a whole bunch of guys and go'. However, it was a lot like the game Painkiller in that battles weren't just relegated to you inching your way up to the enemy; most battles instead required you to move from room to room, cover to cover, managing your ammunition and health versus an onslaught of men armed with machine guns and grenades from every direction up, down, front, and behind. it also had one thing that Modern Warfare didn't: destructible terrain. Nothing worse than shooting up a ledge made of stucco with an M16 and watching the guy behind it all not even take a scratch.

Maybe it's been a while since I played it but, I remember Black's levels being completely open for the player to do whatever they wanted. Like, you weren't cordoned off to specific areas, waiting to mow down every enemy/proceed far ahead enough for NPCs to follow you before the next area opens up, but had the whole level to romp through as you pleased and in any manner you pleased. Or maybe I just can't remember.

Either way, as I recall, it IS available on XBox Live's "Games on Demand", which Microboner has severly underutilised since the begining.
