Keep meaning to post this, since it's kinda a big deal: Voice actors are striking against several game companies for fair pay and medical coverage. Companies being striked include EA and Disney (plus many others), and the strike is manned by heavy-hitters in the VA biz like Steve Blum and Jennifer Hale. Edited by Kay G. Valve dun fucked up. The Australian Federal Court has currently suggested Valve to pay a fine of up to three million dollars for refusing to comply with Australian Consumer Law and provide refunds for products that don't operate as advertised (this is a case that has been ongoing since early-mid last year, well before Valve starting offering their current weaksauce refund policy that possibly still doesn't comply 100% with ACL.) A final judgment is planned to be delivered by the end of the year, at the earliest. |

In light of the decision from Good Game presenters Stephanie Bendixsen and Nich Richardson to pursue new ventures, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation has announced that the shows will not be returning in 2017. Well, most of them. Good Game: Spawn Point, the show aimed at children that airs on ABC ME, will be continuing, with Bendixsen replaced by Angharad Yeo. Bayonetta has been ported to Steam. It's cheap as fuck (though maybe not cheap enough given its age) and it also runs stupid well on even old PC specs. Yes. We have a PC port that has actually been properly optimised by the developer/publisher/whoever and not some random dude in some corner of the internet. It's a fucking miracle. |
