The only thing I'm worried about if it is a Metroid game is whether Sakamoto's in the mix or not. Platinum's got a pretty good track record with their games so far, and their characterizations are pretty good as well. While I'm not happy that 'Sakamoto's waifu' Samus is canon (well, likely to be since Ekoi pointed out that they used Other M's Varia Suit and not the iconic Return of Samus one) I'm confident that Platinum could restore her to her strong, independent self easily. I mean, hell. These are the people who created Bayonetta for crying out loud. |

Exactly, hence why I'm concerned about whether Sakamoto's part of the team or not this time. He hosed up Other M pretty badly so I'm sure Nintendo's not happy with him, but the guy comes off as a nutter who's behind the times and can't accept where Samus has gone characterization-wise. |

Considering how Other M's unpopularity has put the series on hiatus since, I'm sure Nintendo's a little leery about handing the reigns over to him again. Even if that were the case, there's no way in hell he could create a bigger screw up than he did before. |

This is Oneshot. You should play this game. It's best played blind, so I won't spoil too much. Only that it's loosely inspired by Yume Nikki, and that you should definently set aside an hour or two to play it uninterrupted, for reasons that will become apparent ingame.
