 Just for the sake of arguing, another sticking point is just the comparison to other developers that either take a smaller cut of the pie or none of it. I understand Nintendo is just defending their in and they have every right to but why the higher cut for themselves compared to others?

It was a neat mascot action platformer on the PS2 back in the day. Odd that it's getting revived as it wasn't really that popular or anything. Nordic Games is really on the ball, surprised it's coming to Wii U. Hope this means more Darksiders for us! :D

 I think the real reason they don't want people to mod the game is because they have like, 500 pieces of DLC costumes, most of which are in the form of super skimpy bikinis, lined up for the game. Basically, anyone who ends up modding the game will make their shit redundant, and that's probably what they're really afraid of.

Pretty much this exactly. The amount of porn a game's fanbase generates is inversely proportional to the amount of soft porn/porn the game provides provides and proportional to the amount of ire the devs have for the subject. Something like the Hyperdimension Neptunia series? There's a surprisingly small amount of smut for it because the people who worked on those games already provide indecent stuff outside of the games themselves (even if it doesn't go quite that far), and aren't going 'don't make porn of our stuff'.

This? Ekoi's hit it on the head. The DoA devs just made a huge mistake.
