After how godawful House of the Dead turned out, you'll pardon me if I'm not all that hopeful for these.

House of the Dead was directed and produced by Uwe Boll, so there's a legitimate reason why it's terribad.

It also speaks to how poorly Sega chooses its directors.

More importantly, I don't see Phantasy Star on that list. THAT could've made for a good watch. 3':

I don't think anyone had a choice in the matter. Considering how infamous he was, it's mindboggling how he got any kind of approval for his movie adaptations. And I think we're honestly at the point where we don't need film adaptations of videogames anymore because they've already become so film-like on their own. Sure, an animated series or movie wouldn't hurt here or there, but we honestly don't need to see a live action Sonic, or Mario, or whatever. Just let gamers live their epic fantasies immersed in the worlds the games create, because film is a medium that takes you out of that mental state.

I'd agree with you but it's fucking SEGA, they haven't made a good game in a while.

Oh for fuck's sake, now Nintendo wants in on it too. And Sony of all fucking companies is publishing.

No Keiji, you don't have to remind us how bad the last one was.

Yea, but when SEGA of America is outright refusing to publish a damn good game (or SEGA HQ is not letting SoA publish it, going by how much we were fucked over for PSU and every PS game since) it speaks volumes about how fucking terrible a company the English side is.

Also SoA can't fucking outsource for shit (points at Sonic Boom).

I wish Sega took a page from Capcom and saw how well Monster Hunter is doing to get the hint across since there's so much overlap between the two franchises. Just fucking port your game over to Western territories. We're already playing the damn thing, we just want to be able to do so without turning our computer into a microwave oven to get it to work.

I'm actually surprised we still get the Yakuza games. They're niche as fuck.

Yeah, but it takes ages for them to make their way here. Chances are we'll be getting Yakuza Zero in 2018. :P And that's to say nothing of Isshin.
