He also made an animated short film on Pikmin. Nicalis's Castle in the Darkness is just as brutal as 1001 Spikes. Counter-Strike Nexon: Zombies open beta on the 23rd.

My problems with shooters aren't that they're in abundance, it's that they're completely fucking uninspired 80% of the time. If it's not poorly-veiled racism in supposedly "realistic" modern settings, it's utterly generic sci-fi trash designed to ape the high horse that Halo has been riding on the moment it was first invented. I like shooters, I don't mind admitting that, but too many developers look at them like profit spreadsheets and appeal checklists and not enough of them like blank canvasses. Where's the innovation? Where's the originality? Where's my goddamned first person shooter in which all the vehicles are cyborg dinosaurs that shoot laser beams when they roar? Also is it sad that literally the only reason I'm looking forwards to Isaac: Rebirth is an actually playable framerate? What the hell were they thinking when they programmed the original in Flash
