I guess this is more of a Japanese culture thing, because as far as I can see, it's completely the other way around - the hardcores giving casuals 'tude. Oh well, if it means less handholding and more delicately crafted learning curves I'm not complaining.

Posts: 17,366 Group: All Powerful Deity Member #1 Joined: December 30, 2005	So basically, they're tired of pandering to passive gamers and not getting much out of it because the mobile market has pretty much taken over from the Wii and DS as the most accessible platform to anyone, gamer or not. They want to make more lasting experiences and games that draw in people who want to play games. I can see where they're coming from; I don't think games in the Wii series are selling, though they haven't done much in the way of new content recently (Nintendo Land and Tomodachi sorta count I guess, then there's Wii Fit U and rebranding Wii Sports).
