They've always been at the very least a good second choice for a console, and I'm pretty sure there's Sony reps pretty high up that aren't afraid to admit the industry needs Nintendo as much as them. It's only when you compare Microsoft to Sony that the daggers start flying.

Yoshida's already said exactly that in the past. Pretty sure I, or someone else, linked a thing about it in a thread somewhere. New copies of Pokemon X and Pokemon Y are currently part of EB Games New Zealand's "The Biggest Sale Ever!" event. Sheds a whopping NZ$1 of the current price. In Australia, the sale only applies to pre-owned copies of X and Y, but the new copies are still cheaper, at $59.95 each. For all my complaints about Australia's prices compared to everywhere else, our Kiwi neighbours have it significantly worse. Edited by Luffy Foxtrot, Jun 6 2014, 04:04 PM.

My point was that, despite not being part of the sale, new copies of the game are still cheaper in Australia than New Zealand. Used copies of X and Y here are, as part of the sale, $36, as opposed to $48.36. The pre-owned copies are completely sold out as a result.

Posts: 17,366 Group: All Powerful Deity Member #1 Joined: December 30, 2005	The full story on the current situation with Harvest Moon as some people have been confused by current predicaments. Basically, the short version is, XSEED is now handling localisation as an in-house publisher for Marvelous, but Natsume still holds the rights to the Harvest Moon name/brand, so the actual franchise is now called Story of Seasons, while Natsume's current Harvest Moon titles are completely different games (that look and play very similarly).

On the plus side, since Natsume owns the name, they can pretty much use it in any way they want. Since they've been living off of royalties through publishing Harvest Moon titles, they've got a lot to fall back on. This would be a great opportunity for them to actually start making their own games, using the Harvest Moon name, as opposed to publishing someone else's work. As an aside, because I don't think this was mentioned in the article, despite Rune Factory's developer going bankrupt, Marvelous still plans on releasing more entries in the series, as soon as they find a developer who wants to take the reigns.
