 I remember reading somewhere how a Marvel exec answered a question on Facebook; the question was about why there hasn't been an Avengers game or any MCU related games since the ones published by SEGA on last gen. The exec pretty much said that they are now looking to make proper, long term investment with a studio to produce quality, AAA quality games related to the MCU. They're taking their time to find the right studio to publish their properties and an Avengers game will show up in due time.

The real question is are they actually using a brand new engine and not retooling a seven year old one and calling it "new?"

Apparently this has something to do with the game being delayed indefinitely on Xbox One... only for Activision to go ahead and drop it on the Games Store anyway. With no prior announcement. As it stands, it is currently only available on Xbox One via the Games Store; the physical release is still delayed to an unknown date. Whether Activision will pull it or not remains to be seen.

Whoops, here's another thingy: Twitch stream from Epic Games happening on the 8th of May. Stream title is "UE4 Dev Community + Epic. The future of Unreal Tournament." Get hype? So yea, this Thursday at 2PM EST.

GCN can't be emulated easily

That being said, the same logic denotes that the WiiU literally has no excuse for not having a VC library at least as strong as the Wii's was. I don't want to go through the awful Wii UI and the laggy, unresponsive Wii shop just to be able to play SSB64 again.

I mean on the PC or on other devices, as that's always been my huge knock against the VC, that I could play those games on my computers easier than on the VC
