EDIT: In other news, EU is fed the fuck up with this microtransaction bullshit, is banning the use of the label "Free to play" entirely unless all the game's content is actually free. Either way, I wish this would send a clear cut message to Nintendo about their policies against allowing Japanese indie developers to release games on their consoles.

He really wants to make new games and would love to revive Metroid. He talks about how to make a Metroidvania while mentioning that SotN was actually inspired by Zelda, not Metroid. I'm sure there's a lot of overlap between those articles, but I just grabbed everything I found because this was big news to me. This trend of the heavy hitters within the Japanese industry leaving behind the big companies to start smaller studios and develop the games people want is really growing. I hope IGA does end up releasing a new Metroidvania, similarly to how Inafune is doing Mighty No. 9.
