Specifically the cheap and lax standards for hosting anything on services like iTunes. I'll be legitimately surprised if any developer in the market cites a smartphone's controls as an opening for new kinds of gameplay or as an enjoyable platform to develop for because quite frankly, touchscreen controls are utter shit. It does make me wonder, though, if Ninty could make a killing by inventing a phone of their own and leaving the buttons in. Hell, just make a new DS that can connect to cellphone networks, people would eat that shit up.
