But because hackers are a smart bunch, there are no guarantees that it couldn't happen again. People were suing Sony left and right at that time just because the service was down, which is pretty stupid and greedy imho. I see nothing wrong with this, I'm not sure why everyone's going nuts.

Basically, they're punishing even the loyal consumer. And Sony should be sued; they did something incredibly stupid, and people's security was severely hurt...if not destroyed, and they blundered around about it, even lied about it at first. How many credit scores were harmed in this escapade, I wonder...? Sony is just butthurt that they got spanked, and now they're lashing about like a little tantrum. Hell, if they get hacked again, I'm about to go "You asked for it...again!" EDIT: In more lulzy news: A Vita battery peripheral will add 6-10 hours of battery life to the system. What's lulzy? If you do the math from the total battery life this enables the Vita with, you get a grand total of 3-5 hours WITHOUT the peripheral. The 3DS is not even that bad. XD And 6-10 hours of battery life's really weak for a handheld. I got a maximum of about 14 hours out of my DS Lite on a full charge. As if the Vita was any less appealing than it already is, they expect people to actually shell out for some battery extending gizmo. Apparently no one realises that handheld consoles were mainly meant for the road and that should mean maximum battery life on the get-go.

My Samsung Galaxy S II probably lasts about the same length of time, mainly because I tend to browse a particular website through its Android app. It's stupid, really. If the battery can't handle all the neat doohickeys for a decent amount of time, then really, is there any point? Considering the things that the Vita can do are about double what the 3DS can (save for 3D), I think the 3DS is a better choice right now. Also, no UMD-like media reading thing is a major turn-off for me. Fuck you, physical games are better.
