It's not even a common occurrence for me to take a review into consideration when shopping. The only thing I usually look for is gameplay videos of titles I'm not really sure about.

Attack on Titan is a more action-filled show. IMO it has more rightfully earned the hype. (It's opening theme does a good job of that alone.) I'd say watch the first three episodes. An hour's time is fair enough chance to give it, non?
