Graduate Posts: 181 Group: Elite Member #96 Joined: December 20, 2010	So in short, very little of the console manufacturing process was done in-house and they had no choice but to hemorrhage money following a lukewarm adoption. I was never able to enjoy the Dreamcast in its hey-day but I love it now. It's amazing the impact the system has had on the marketplace today. The Xbox has been considered a spiritual successor to the Dreamcast, and MS has done a pretty good job keeping consoles relevant since 2001 despite the almighty gaming PC looming over the horizon.
