Oh shit, Polter is making another game that's going to get some interest, go nowhere, and then die, isn't he?

BUT WAIT, THIS MIGHT ACTUALLY HAPPEN

I'm not sure how many people are actually familiar with AD&D, but I do know that the group that I have right now have so far never played with the system...and neither have I! Fun times!

This is going to be a once-a-week thing, schedules allowing, with hopefully enough leniency involved so that players can pick and choose what days they want to go and beat the crap out of things ("What's that? You're the only person available for today? SPLENDID!")

A good meaty part of the game should take place around two villages and an aptly named Temple of Elemental Evil that sits abandoned in one of them. There's been a great many stories about the treasures that have been hauled out of there, so it may make a great place for the characters to hunt out if they're looking for a bit of wealth to round themselves out. If that's not good enough, there are some rumors of occult activity in the area and, really, you're working for either good or treasure at any rate.

The current players and characters involved are:

Psycho Werekitsune:
Talal Al-Zahrawi, crusading half-elf priest of Allah.

Emerald Spirit:
This Chick, some sort of sneaky elf sonuvabitch.

Eternally Fallen:
Beard-Man, badass dwarf with a mighty sword.

Korokage:
MElf, a magical elf with a penchant for punching things

SquallEvoker:
Ze Red Mage, a guy with a mace, a red hat, and the ability to make things explode. Also a priest of Saint Cuthbert.

Buddy:
Boring Knife-ears, a grey elf magician (because you'll be hard pressed to find a grey elf who actually fights on his own).

Hidden Squire:
Generic Gnome Illusionist/Thief, because someone in this party has to be a specialist.

(Names and sheets to be filled in when finished!)

I dunno how many people I showed this site, but it's extremely useful since it has all the books in truncated form.

If anyone wants to pick around in the other books, go have fun with that. Arms and Equipment Guide is a good one.

If I can't get the last two people to have their sheets ready by Sunday, then I'll just start the game with whoever I can grab.

As a question I pose, are the AD&D rules a little too complex for some people? If they are, we can scale back to an early edition (Basic is a wonderfully simple to run and play, but I'd need to do some adjustments to the adventure to make sure it runs properly.) I certainly wouldn't mind it, and if this is the first time playing for a lot of people then I certainly wouldn't mind the backwards scaling.

As an added thought, it probably takes me around two minutes to make a character in Basic, so it's not like it will be much work at all to switch.

It may be fast to learn Basic, but switching to that would also represent the loss of a lot of work some people have already put into learning 2.0. I like complex.

Here's the character I spent many hours on.

If you don't mind, could you set the ownership on that sheet so that it goes to my account (Polter)?

Meh, I'm fine with AD&D. The only silly thing is how some checks you need to roll low and some you need to roll high. :/

Last I heard Polter was in Florida and would be on top of this thing as soon as he gets back.

Oh. .___. Derp, I've never heard of Saint Cloud, and I live in Florida. Shameful. Oh well. Well...good luck with whatever business you have down here in America's wang I guess.

Oh yeah... and I knew he was in FL too; I just never made the mental connection between that and the game. Derp.

Korokage, I live in Panama City. You?
