We have a release date of January 15, 2013 for the game, as well as new character:

Apparently, she's a medium that can see into the world's Dante sees, a la how Bayonetta can see the angels from the human world despite the fact they are in Purgatoria. Goes by the name "Kat."

I like it when people use the word "gay" in any context other than a homosexual one - it only proves that they have the maturity of a five year old, as if their obsession with shooters didn't already do a good job of pointing that out. It's also pretty amusing that he pointed out Skyrim considering the fact that, y'know, it's set in the bloody medival era and doesn't even have muskets, let alone generic modern firearms.

But just for fun, let's play around with his logic a bit.

game - gun = gay
game + gun = -gay
game + gun + Arem = ???

Is this a game or a political statement? And was that Anonymous?

Tameem talks Dante's character.

Apparently, there's been a lot of questions regarding Dante's sexual orientation in this game, because of a news anchor's comment as being a "sexual deviant." And since Raptor News Network is a knock off of ultraconservative news reports, many have wondered if that description refers to homosexuality. Tameem finally says that "no he isn't...but I wish he was now."

Now we have Vergil.

His character design reminds me of the younger Magneto in X-Men First Class.

Well, I guess he does look a bit more...juvenile than classic Vergil.

That was fucking hilarious. Though, a few issues I have with the game, the cursing feels out of place and the UI is bloody hideous. The combat and movement still looks really stiff in comparison to past DMC games, too ._.

Ok, I got my hands on the demo, and I have to say this.

Good lord, I have a headache. Everything was so washed with light that it was annoying, which is a shame since environments weren't that bad. Combat flows pretty well now that the trigger buttons switch weapons on the fly. For the most part, the controls are the same only a little smoother. Devil Trigger seems to hamper more than help because enemies stand still and are impossible to see when everything is white-washed.

While combat is smoother, the platforming is fucked up, and this game/demo seems to go crazy with it. It can be a chore.

That being said, the core elements are present, only there are more collectibles in levels now. Overall, it doesn't seem like a BAD game, but god, I have a headache from all those light effects.

More than likely, if I HAD to buy the game, I'd wait until it drops in price to maybe at least half.

EDIT: Oh, and shirtless Dante-white-trash is hot.

So basically, the gameplay is nerfed, the visuals, of all things, detract from the experience, and one of the series' key features is completely pointless? This, all on top of a lackluster story and mediocre character design/aesthetic, of course.

Ah well, not like I was expecting much. Still, probably an improvement over what was initially shown.

I felt like my brain was dyslexic over some of the L2 and R2 functions. Couldn't beat the demo boss because whenever it said you needed to switch platforms, they're not close enough to rump on, even with that move you're supposed to use.

I actually liked the stage's music. :/ It fits with the combat.

The music seems okay to me, though the rhythm is all over the place.
