I like it when people use the word "gay" in any context other than a homosexual one - it only proves that they have the maturity of a five year old, as if their obsession with shooters didn't already do a good job of pointing that out. It's also pretty amusing that he pointed out Skyrim considering the fact that, y'know, it's set in the bloody medival era and doesn't even have muskets, let alone generic modern firearms.

But just for fun, let's play around with his logic a bit.

game - gun = gay
game + gun = -gay
game + gun + Arem = ???

I borrowed the game from my younger brother, but didn't have time to beat it since he wanted to play Xbox Live with it, and since it was his game I had to oblige. I'll probably borrow it from someone else at college.

Final Fantasy XIII (PS3)

"Instrument of Survival" (Bronze)
--Evaded pursuers, though memories of the past still give chase.

"Instrument of Vengeance" (Bronze)
--Resolved to be more than a victim of circumstance.

I'm not sure what I hate more about Final Fantasy XIII: it's incredible amount of sap in story, or insta-death attacks from non-major encounters. If I was to rate the game right now, it would be an 8.7. Good score, but not something a Final Fantasy game should be bearing.

Score one for Rec porn.

Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1 (360)

"Enemy Hunter" (10)
--Defeat 1,000 enemies.

Peggle (360)

"Be Cool" (10)
--Hit the last orange then the last blue to rack up a Cool Clear. (Except Duel)

"Go ULTRA!" (15)
--Clear all the pegs in a level. It's pretty extreme, but you look up to it. (Except Duel)

How the hell is that possi- *sees Luxor 2* Ohhhhhhh....I see.

Halo: Reach (360)

KEEP IT CLEAN (5G)

Kill 7 Moa during the 2nd mission of the Campaign

They've Always Been Faster (25G)

Aside from that, the only other game I've been playing decently enough to get 360 achievements in is NFS: Hot Pursuit. PS3 tiems:

...well, I would, but the PlayStation website appears to be broken. No go.

Yeah, Luxor 2 is really weird about that. It's got Achievements that have numbers like 14, 16, 17 and 19. Yet, they all still add up to 200.

Obviously, that's the rule with Arcade games. Toss points any which way, so long as they equal 200.

360 games have a similar rule, except it's 1000 points initially. There are some exceptions to that rule, but they're few and far between. Also, I guess developers find it easier to add things up when the Achievement-point count is divisible by 5.

Anyway:

Luxor 2 (XBLA)

"Royal Sharpshooter" (16)
--Complete a level with 100% accuracy.

Gears of War 2 (360)

"And the Horse You Rode in On" (10)
--Story progression in Act 5, Chapter 1.

"Back to Basic" (10)
--Successfully complete the 5 lessons of multiplayer Training Grounds.

"Better Wrapped in Beacon" (10)
--Story progression in Act 4, Chapter 3.

"Brumak Rodeo" (10)
--Story progression in Act 5, Chapter 4.

"Collector" (5)
--Recover 5 collectibles (any difficulty).

"Completionist" (30)
--Recover all 41 collectibles (any difficulty).

"Crowd Control" (10)
--Melee 10 enemies down with the Boomshield equipped (any mode).

"Does This Look Infected to You?" (10)
--Story progression in Act 5, Chapter 5.

"Escort Service" (10)
--Story progression in Act 1, Chapter 4.

"Freebaird!" (10)
--Story progression in Act 2, Chapter 5.

"Girl About Town" (10)
--Story progression in Act 1, Chapter 6.

"Green as Grass" (10)
--Train the rook (any difficulty).
(That would be me, lulz)

"Have Fun Storming the Castle" (10)
--Story progression in Act 4, Chapter 6.

"Heartbroken" (10)
--Story progression in Act 2, Chapter 6.
(Sick shit. :x)

"It's a Trap!" (10)
--Story progression in Act 1, Chapter 2.

"Kick 'Em When They're Down" (10)
--Perform all 11 unique executions on a downed enemy.

"Longitude and Attitude" (10)
--Story progression in Act 3, Chapter 3.

"Once More, With Feeling" (10)
--Perform 30 perfect active reloads (any mode).

"Organ Grinder" (10)
--Kill 30 enemies with a cover mounted Mulcher (any mode).

"Pack Rat" (15)
--Recover 20 collectibles (any difficulty).

"Shock and Awe" (10)
--Kill 30 enemies with the heavy Mortar (any mode).

"Smells Like Victory" (10)
--Kill 30 enemies with the Scorcher Flamethrower (any mode).

"Takes a Licking" (30)
--Melee 30 Tickers (any mode).

"Tanks for the Memories" (10)
--Story progression in Act 3, Chapter 4.

"That Sinking Feeling" (10)
--Story progression in Act 2, Chapter 4.

"There's a Time for Us" (10)
--Story progression in Act 4, Chapter 2.

"Tourist of Duty" (25)
--Complete all campaign acts on Casual Difficulty.

"Variety Is the Spice of Death" (30)
--Kill an enemy with every weapon in the game (any mode).

"Water Sports" (10)
--Story progression in Act 3, Chapter 6.

"You Are the Support, Son" (10)
--Story progression in Act 5, Chapter 2.

UNO (XBLA)

"Bluff" (10)
--Bluff on a Wild Draw Four twice in the same game.

Marvel: Ultimate Alliance (360)

"Dragon Slayer" (15)
--Defeat Fin Fang Foom.

"Fledgling Superhero" (5)
--Defeated 10 enemies.

Gears of War (360)

"Completed Act 1 on Casual" (10)
--Complete Act 1 on Casual Difficulty

"Prison Breakout" (10)
--Completed tutorial level on any skill level.

"Time to Remember" (10)
--Recover one-third of the COG tags (on any difficulty)

"Zen and the Art of Reloading" (10)
--Perform 25 perfect active reloads (on any difficulty)

"Zen and the Art Part 2" (20)
--Perform 5 perfect active reloads in a row (on any difficulty)
(Actually got this one before "Part 1." Had lots of practice in Gears of War 2...)

I know, I started 2 first. 1 was defective, so I have to go back and do some biz with it. Oh well, it was only like 4 bucks.

EDIT: Now that I have 1, I'm now set up for 3 coming later this year. :D

EDIT2: For the lulz, I counted up the Achievements that I got since last week. Reason? That's when I got like 6 games for less the 20 bucks.
Final count: 71 Achievements, 917 points (12.9 points per Achievement if you care)

Broke my personal Achievement per week record, but not Achievement score per week: (53 Achievements, 1,040 GP [19.6 G per Achievement]; May 3-9, 2010)

LOL useless statistics.
