More Vita game impressions, yes. Dragon's Crown is a fun game to play, for being like them old side scrolling beat 'em ups. Though there aren't as many enemies on the screen in each section as in the others, so I don't suck nearly as bad at this as I do in Scott Pilgrim or Phantom Breaker. Yay. Haven't unlocked the multiplayer yet, so I've just been playing with the AI partners you can collect by finding their bones in dungeons. And playing more Soul Sacrifice as made me discover that this is a game that is all about the moral compass. The plot alters itself now and then depending on what you do with the major enemies in some of the missions. You either do the right thing and sacrifice everything, or do the wrong thing and save em. And then piss off the organisation you work for because everyone who becomes a monster must be sacrificed. That's the plot. And one last one: New Little King's Story. Rebuild your kingdom and make your citizens do things. Unlike Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King, though, which is basically the same game, you can actually assist the citizens and/or soldiers you order around. It's nice. The constant framerate drops aren't enjoyable, though D: |

I thought it was just a glorified tower defense game. Also, pretty sure people have said the original Little King's Story was a much better game, but don't quote me on that. Might have something to do with the sequel being developed by a completely different studio since CING went bankrupt. |

Except that game has absolutely nothing to do with the tower defence aspect. All you do in that game is build buildings, recruit the families' kids as heroes and send them into dungeons while you continue building new buildings and stuff. I have not once seen any tower defence in it. ...you might be thinking of My Life as a Dark Lord, which is a tower defence game. But on that final note, I've never played the original game, so I wouldn't know. Any idea what console it was on? |

![]() Also, I thought King and Dark Lord were similar games, just in different perspectives. Looks like I'll have to look into getting them both at some point, before the Wii Shop Channel kicks the bucket. |

Hey, EA? This might be a foreign concept to you, but since I bought NFS Rivals, I'd like to be able to actually play it, you know. I can't actually do that when it locks up my PS3 within five minutes of loading the game. Every single fucking time I try to play it. Fuck you guys. |

@Luffy In recent times EA hasn't seemed to be able to grasp the concept of letting their consumers actually play the game they bought (Sim City anyone?) Virtua Fighter 2 (Sega Saturn, PS3)

Makes it seem hilarious in hindsight since Rivals is online only, like SimCity xD |

Because I'm a sheep and I like Need for Speed. Baa! Although, it turns out that you can indeed play Rivals offline, but there's no option in the actual game. You have to either sign out of PSN, or in the case of the Xbox, disconnect your Internet connection altogether. |

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn (PS3) Been playing this pretty much all the time for the past few days, along with Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. Let it be said that the only real enjoyable part of ACIV is the sailing and pirating. The rest of it is pretty meh and average. Also, they somehow managed to make the parkour aspect (you know, the actual point of the game up till now, besides the assassinating) worse, rather than better. There are fairly constant points where Edward will run up to a climbable structure and just nudge up against it, instead of actually climb up. That said, it's easier now than it's ever been to actually be a silent killer. Which is good. In the end, the pirating part of the game is the best. On the other hand, FFXIV is starting to get kinda boring, since I have no one to get into shenanigans with. I need to find some friends who actually play the game. Even if it means jumping to another World and starting over. I think a local friend is planning to get it when it comes out on PS4 next year, but I have no clue. For now, I've just been building up the non-combat classes. Lots and lots of fishing. Edited by Luffy Foxtrot, Dec 14 2013, 07:36 PM.
