Aside from the Crown level, even I didn't have much trouble with it. Then again, I'm generations better at the 3D Mario games than I am at the 2D ones. Just look at my progress in NSMB2. I'm sucking so badly at it that I'm raging at the game itself, blaming it on cheap deaths. And I haven't even managed to get myself a Coin Rush score yet D: |

Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure (3DS) Despite being a sub-game to the main version on PS3 and 360 (at least, I have no idea what the PC or Wii versions are like), I think I like the 3DS version more. Feels smewhat like the Wario Land games, where you go in, complete an objective, then get out before the timer hits zero. Though there isn't really much of a challenge in escaping from Hektore. Also, Dark Spyro is cool. |

I thought the Wii version was the defacto version. O: Also, just finished everything with Mario, going through everything with Weegee. :3 |

That game surprised me in its popularity, even with the rather worthless Spyro franchise name. |

I still maintain that Skylanders is really a whole new IP, but Activision just shoehorned Spyro in (also, Cynder and Sparx) so as to guarantee sales, because we all know what the bigwigs are like when it comes to trying new shit and taking risks. On its own, it really is a good game, but the 360 and PS3 versions get boring pretty quickly. The web game is also a nice little timewaster, too. Dust: An Elysian Tail (XBLA) Saw Bajo and Hex's review on Good Game, thought it looked cool, so I bought it, despite it being one of Microsoft's bullshit expensive ??? of Arcade offerings. Still pretty early on, but I like it so far. Just a shame that Dust's animations aren't as fluid in some places, while others look extremely fluid and pretty. But the Dust Dtorm technique keeps getting in the way, since the game registers tapping the Y button at any point other than the precise point for a combo as holding the button down. So I keep trying to pull off Dust's ground throw, but instead he ends up throwing his sword around 90% of the time. Edited by Luffy Foxtrot, Sep 4 2012, 01:08 PM.

I'd be all over it if it wasn't for the toy collecting mechanic. "Buy more shit to unlock more shit" has never been a sound business practice when it comes to gaming, if you ask me. Also, not a big fan of the creatures designs since they all look way too samey. I agree though, this would've been far more interesting if they didn't bother attaching the Spyro name to it (hell, it's barely even visible in the title) and instead, revived Spyro by putting him back in some delicious, classic Spyro gameplay. |

Sweet, gonna go see if it's on the Aus Marketplace. If not, then FUCK YOU MICROSOFT. I'm raging at a lot of companies today. I just raged at VIZ Media over their new Neon Alley anime streaming service on the PS3 that is just the same as every other fucking streaming service on consoles in that it's exclusive to the US and Canada D:< |

I took a look around. The release date was listed as "international" on sources I found. You should be in good shape. :3 |

Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance (3DS) Terraria [tConfig, modded content] (PC) Been playing the hell out of DDD, got a lot of Trophies by now and recently got the last Dream Eater I was missing. Granted, I settled for an A-rank Ryu Dragon as opposed to a Star rank, but I was getting impatient and wanted to start on a Proud mode run, then restart for a Critical mode run. Flowmotion's a legit combat option even when you get strong commands, and the Dream Eater's Ability Board can be ground even by low level players. (case in point, I'm in a position to where I only need a couple hundred more Link Points to get two Mega Flare spells.) Terraria's basically my go-to game for building the ridiculously sized buildings, and modded content gives me lots to do. Unfortunately, there seems to be some kind of NPC glitch that flared up recently, causing various friendly and enemy NPCs to vanish for effectively no reason. It's calmed down a bit, but it's still annoying when you have two giant structures with lots of rooms in each and have to manually have to travel between them. (Somewhat mitigated by a Dr. Who mod I picked up, which lets me get what amounts to a second Magic Mirror, except without the need of resetting my spawn point at a bed first. Instant two-way teleportation is fuuuun~) |
