Metroid Prime 2: Echoes (Wii) Running around Aether and its sub-areas like a fucking lost puppy, since I have no idea where to go next. The game keeps pointing me towards that large dome thing in the Temple Grounds, but what looks like the most obvious way to get there instead takes you to the Temple up above D: I have no idea. I also need the Grapple Beam and the Seeker Missile to do anything else, but no idea where to find those, either. Welp. Persona 4 (PS2) Just barely managed to scrape by the battle with Shadow Teddie, only to find out that my game disc won't go past the fog cutscene a few days afterwards, as a result of scratches dealt by one of the PS2 Slims I've gone through. Fucking joy, 'cos that basically means that I'll have to go buy a third copy of P4, as I bought a second copy a few days ago as a Christmas present for a friend. Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil (PS2) Finally beat the story, yes. When I played this game back ages ago, I couldn't get past the maze level in the Mira-Mira kingdom. This game is too much fun, why haven't you updated it or given us a Klonoa 3, Namco? D: Bomberman Generation (GCN) Awwwww yea, Bomberman goodness that isn't a lazy XBLA/PSN party title. Also, the Dangerous Bombs look fucking badass in this game. I'm still upset that Hudson's America-based localisation branch shut down. No more Bomberman for us, if Hudson makes any more. |

Hudson USA might be dead, but since it's a subsidary of Konami and they own the rights to the Bomberman franchise, we can expect to see some more Bomberman in the future...hopefully. The Grapple Beam is in Dark Torvus Bog if I remember and the Seeker Missle is in that place that you're trying to reach. You get in there through some vents you have to Morphball through if I'm remember right, have a look around the areas adjacent to it. |

Oh god, you're in that horrible, terrible part of Echoes that confuses the fuck out of you by not telling you where anything is, or even pretending that any path might be slightly correct. Wait until you have to fight the multipart boss. I was on the phone when I fought that thing... "Goddamnit, I can't hit this thing." "Oh look, a second form, as if this couldn't get longer." "...and a third form." "FOR FUCK'S SAKE, NOW IT'S IN ITS SECOND FORM AGAIN" and then the game decides to hang a lampshade on it if you scan the corpse afterwards. |

Time to consult the Metroid expert! TRANSFORM!! [overdone and seizure-inducing transformation sequence] Ok, I assume you have already gotten the Boost Ball, and have not received the Gravity Boost yet. Count yourself lucky I have written a guide for the game a long time ago that I never actually submitted anywhere. Anyway, this is an entry from Segment 10 from my guide and it starts from the elevator that takes you to Torvus Bog in Temple Grounds. NOTE: This was written for the GameCube version, so there may be some controller differences.
You will need to fetch the Seeker Missile Launcher before getting anything else. You can also get the optional Darkburst Missile Combo after getting it in Agon Wastes, but the game will try to prompt you to go get the Gravity Boost then the Grapple Beam, both in Torvus Bog. I don't mean to nitpick on a dead guide, but I have to snicker at the use of an "orange ridicule" to mark targets. "AND NOW, I SHALL KILL YOU BY BADGERING YOU AND SLINGING INSULTS!" |

That's what happens when I use NotePad to write a guide, because GameFAQs doesn't accept .docx files. |

Been playing this PS1 game on the psp... well not this version, the one before it. This is a PS2 version I think. Seriously, why did they stop making these? It's like an entirely new genre in its own way. It's like playing Home Alone. |

Sonic Generations (3DS) It's not bad, but god can the levels be cheap. I'm currently stuck on Emerald Coast because they added some bullshit in it. There are too many instant death marks with no warning. The special stages are welcome though (play them in 3D if you can), and there's an interesting system for obtaining upgrades. After I beat the Launch Base boss, whatever it's called, and after a series of cutscenes, Classic Sonic learned the Homing Attack. Edited by Arem, Nov 23 2011, 12:47 AM.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Wii) Cleared Classic with all characters, now I need to do All-Star with all of them so I can get the Final Smash trophies. Also, 99-Stock slow motion sudden death matches are fun :3 |

Not at all. FF7 was probably my favorite game ever when I was in elementary school. I'm just playing it again to remind myself just why I think it's so lackluster these days. And ffs, I'm not sure which is worse: The fact that everything costs so goddamned much in game, that I can steal Ethers off the enemies next to Midgar and sell them for exorbitant amounts, or the fact that I stole most of my equipment off of enemy encounters and thus have never needed to stock up on new weapons or armor for over four major towns. Oh, I think I know: The fact that none of my characters have dropped to 0 HP yet. |
