I like it when people use the word "gay" in any context other than a homosexual one - it only proves that they have the maturity of a five year old, as if their obsession with shooters didn't already do a good job of pointing that out. It's also pretty amusing that he pointed out Skyrim considering the fact that, y'know, it's set in the bloody medival era and doesn't even have muskets, let alone generic modern firearms.

But just for fun, let's play around with his logic a bit.

game - gun = gay
game + gun = -gay
game + gun + Arem = ???

L.A. Noire (360)
Gears of War 3 (360)

I switch between the two. Since Gears of War 3 is so heavy compared to the previous titles, I find myself needing to take a break from it and play something else. Enter L.A. Noire.

Binding of Isaac

It's from one of the guys who worked on Super Meat Boy and the somewhat immature humour from his previous works is definitely back, this is not a game for the easily offended as it contains cartoon mutilation, toilet humour and some things that are honestly just plain weird.
Still, it's a very addictive game and incredibly cheap.

It's what I can really only describe as an "Arcade Roguelike", you move with wasd, shoot with the arrow keys and wander around a 2D maze built from randomly placed rooms, collecting randomly assigned powerup items. Every time you play the game will be very different, which is fortunate because if you die you are kicked right back to the beginning (barring having certain powerups).
If you don't mind gross-out imagery then at £3.59 this game is certainly worth picking up, it'll give you hours of entertainment.

Man I am just falling down all these games
I got Bastion, which is great
Borrowed Shadow of the Collosus from a family friend, gonna see if I can run it from my disc drive in an emulator because my sister took the PS2 to college.
Got the recent Humble Bundle
Still working through SADX on Steam

And I'm getting an itch for a good, time consuming RPG.

Yeah, but
Spoiler: click to toggle
and my flash cart isn't working very well. I'd pick up a real copy but I always hate replaying halves of games like that, so I wouldn't really wind up enjoying myself with it.

Resident Evil 4 HD (XBox 360)

Beat the story on normal, so now I need to do all the extra stuff and play through professional. Should keep me busy for a while. But before I do that...

Halo Reach

Playing this with my friends while they're still here.

Do it anyway. D:<

So I picked up Disgaea DS a few weeks back, but was too overwhelmed by the sheer amount of crap that needs to be done in this game. I'd gotten my hands on Solatorobo a few days back and decided to give it a whirl. Been playing it ever since.

Final Fantasy 1&2: Dawn of Souls (GBA)
Dissidia Duodecim Final Fantasy (PSP)
Star Fox 64 3D

I recently decided that I will play through every "important" (Read: good) Final Fantasy game in the main series. The DDFF clash was a fluke. I recently found a really cheap copy and I wanted to get that back on day 1. The last is pretty fucking awesome. I just hate having a score board filled with medals only for my highest score to include many deaths and only finishing with Falco. Fucking Peppy adores flying into my ship when facing Star Wolf >>.*

*Which I kind of enjoy. He used to do it to me a lot in Lylat Wars too xD.

Good Game

Hex: Yes, you've read the book, you've seen the film - now avoid the game like the plague lest your memory of Harry Potter's epic conclusion be tainted by what can only be described as a short, half-arsed cover-shooter that's boring beyond belief.

Bajo: ...It's shit.

Star Fox 64 3D is a little annoying in that regard. Falco is the first to fall in the first mission for me because he always flies out of range of my blasters. -_-

Anyway...

L.A. Noire (360)
Halo: Reach (360)

I have to say, L.A. Noire is definitely one of the most unique games I've played in a long while. Sure, it's rather slow, but it's a game about investigation.

Final Fantasy 1&2: Dawn of Souls (GBA)

I recently decided that I will play through every "important" (Read: good) Final Fantasy game in the main series.
So you picked the worst version of FF1? Plain shame.

The games you're looking for are FF1 (PSX), FF2 (GBA/PSP), FF3 (NES), FF4 Hardtype (SNES/GBA/DS), FF5 (SNES/PSX/GBA), FF9 (PSX), and FFT (PSX).

YMMV on FF6-8 due to 'generic character syndrome' where everyone can pretty much fill any role (read: curbstomp everyone) depending on how you feel like futzing around with materia, espers, and junctions.

YMMV on 1-3 depending on what version you're playing, and if you're in the right mindset for it. FF1 is mostly broken in the player's favor in the GBA port and broken in the game's favor in the NES version. FF2 is a good game as long as you realize that equipping specific armor and weapons makes your magic ability drop to below zero (i.e. the NES version makes shields reduce magic power by 70, weapons that aren't staves or spears drop magic power by a ton, bows are pretty much useless in the hands of a spellcaster due to the massive magic drop, etc.), and that it's completely possible to enjoy the game if you don't abuse the leveling system. FF3 is vastly different between the NES and DS ports, almost to the point to where they're two separate games with the same story.

Playing the original Doom games, as well as Heretic.

Gosh, Heretic is much more fun than Doom at some points.
