Posts: 17,366 Group: All Powerful Deity Member #1 Joined: December 30, 2005	Gearbox soliciting Duke Nukem Forever Feedback This is to gauge gamers' (not journalists, because we all know they know about as much about gaming as I do about fixing a car) reaction to the game and what they can improve on in future titles. Of note is that they also apparently released a patch for the PC version of the game that lets you carry more guns. In my opinion, one of the three or four things that broke the game for me just got fixed, so that's a plus.

They could stand to make boss fights a lot less shit though. The majority of them were extremely boring and clumsy, and making them immune to everything but explosives certaintly didn't help. Either way, yeah, I'm pretty sure that by 3D, they'd completely forgone that concept...or maybe not because we'll never really know what 3DRealms was planning with Dr. Proton when they were originally working on DNF.

At least this way the dev hell that 3DRealms became so infamous for won't be a factor this time, though I'd still rather they made a new game rather than releasing DLC for an outdated, poorly optimized UE2.5 game. Also, I swear I came up with the concept for the basic story when I was like, in the 7th grade (cloning would've been a good "plot" for the multiplayer).
