I'm so torn over where to pre-order from. I don't care about old-school Reptile, but I can't decide if I want skull-awesome incineration or spine ripping action... :/

Don't take my word on it though, as if I had a choice I'd go for Klassic Reptile. >:3 EDIT: I just noticed the Kollector's Edition seems to have more/better goodies than the Tournament Edition, which is weird. I don't know why they've bundled a flight stick, unless the source of the article can't tell the difference between that and an arcade stick. Either way, the figurines and art book sound like better rewards, unless the Tournament Edition just has everything the Kollector's Edition does PLUS the other stuff.

Posts: 17,366 Group: All Powerful Deity Member #1 Joined: December 30, 2005	~~Elder Sub-Zero~~ Noob Saibot makes his triumphant return, plus we get a look at the kickass Sub-Zero and Scorpion statue bookends in the Kollector's Edition. Also, as some of you may know, Australia has deemed the new Mortal Kombat too violent and has refused it's classification, thereby effectively banning it from the country. However, in a bit of good news, WB has made an appeal against the ban. I'm really hoping that this goes through, because it seems a little retarded to ban Mortal Kombat and not AVP. In other bits of news, Ed Boon has also stated an interest in releasing a PC port sometime in the future. He believes that there is a large market for PC games now, especially in Europe, so it seems like it might be in the works. That's good news for me. :3

So the same might happen here. Of course, we can also look at Left 4 Dead 2, which was also refused classification. They ignored Valve's appeal, so we got a toned-down version. I'm really hoping we get the R18+ rating soon, if olnly so we can get SOME level of consistency around here. Get your ass in gear, Australia.

Posts: 17,366 Group: All Powerful Deity Member #1 Joined: December 30, 2005	It'd be difficult to classify this as either case, because they're both similar with regards to the amount of violence you're seeing. With that in mind, I'm not sure how I'd feel about a censored version. Going back to the first Mortal Kombat, it was censored on the SNES due to Nintendo's policies at the time. Blood was removed and fatalities were altered to seem a tad less violent. The game was superior to it's Genesis counterpart, but didn't sell nearly as much due to the lack of violence. I just really hope that if it DOES get censored, it doesn't detract from the game in any way.

If people should bitch about anything, it should be screwing with the mythology, gameplay or characters, not whether the game is rated M or T. I get that the violence in the MK games is one of it's trademarks, but that does not mean that the game is flat out ruined just because they took out some of it so that more people can play it.

Shang Tsung FINALLY says "your soul is mine" in an actual game. Maybe we'll get lucky and they'll actually throw in the Mortal Kombat theme too. On that note, it looks like his ability to morph might be tied into soul sucking as well.

This game is all kinds of amazing, I haven't felt this way about a Mortal Kombat game in YEARS and it's so refreshing. It really IS like they took the best out of Western and Japanese fighting games and rolled it into one. I actually feel really confident playing this game, unlike older games where I just barely got by. This is definitely one of the greatest games being released this year, no doubt about it.

I did some digging and came cross this: http://shoryuken.com/content/3819-rumor-li.../comments2.html Apparently, the Achievement list for the game was leaked and it indicates that both, Quan Chi and Cyborg Sub-Zero are unlockable characters. However, I'm inclined to call out fake as they are the only two secret characters who are named in that list, where it refers to every other hidden character as "Hidden Character insertnumberhere". Aside from that, I found this really cool render some fan made a while back: Keep in mind, this is not an official render from Midway, it's just fan work.
