Posts: 17,366 Group: All Powerful Deity Member #1 Joined: December 30, 2005	They took multiple paths to a whole new level, added more in depth control like fine tuning speed, a double jump and even a freaking ledge grab (if these were in either Generations or Unleashed, forgive my ignorance, I don't have either), added two different types of air based attacks and a way to chain them (at least that's what it looked like in the last level), with diverse playstyles for specific levels (classic 2D, 3D platforming and on rails)...it's like they pretty much redefined the genres, or at least, upped the ante for any future platformers (however many of those you see these days). They dun good, this is starting to look like a landmark title in the franchise. Hope it makes the kind of impact I'm expecting of it.

I'll need to know more about whether it's different enough or not to warrant buying it along side the Wii U version.

I prolly won't end up getting a Wii U until the next Smash Bros, but this is definitely on my list of Let's Plays to watch. I practically gasmed when I saw the camera move with the speed loop. It's a simple feature, but I just love it so much.

Yeah I probably wont get Wii U until Smash Brothers either, or until the price goes way down over the Holidays. The inner annoying Sonic fan in me could only ask for one thing more for this particular kind of Sonic game that usually pisses people off, going back to a more classical design, or more like an in-between Sonic CD style. But I can't bitch when things are looking up at this point... not until we hear the usual poorly read and acted lines.

GOOD? :O I'll wait for the reviews but since generations was a pretty good game, I'll let myself get all hyped :3 Also, after watching the 3DS and Wii U versions, they look similar enough to get the job done either way. Wii U obviously has the bigger and better setup, though. Also, does it bug anyone else the way they broke up the segments on the 3DS? I know they do it because they can't do the whole level all at once, but they way they built the transition it gives me motion sickness :0
