And that stupidly silly requirement for a front facing camera has been removed, so now I can play it on my iPod touch. Except apparently my iPod is a gen 3. And the app page says "supports iPod touch v4 and up" so either my iPod is a gen 4, or you an download and play the game regardless and just put up with some possible game breaking bugs. I'm suffering lag and Sonic Unleashed PS2/Wii level graphics because I don't have Retina Display on my iPod, obviously. I think I'm having some trouble with the homing attack parts and shit, but this is all coming from a guy who actually enjoys playing Sonic '06, so yea. Oh yea, there's also a daily challenge thing that gives you free in game shit if you collect four puzzle pieces every day. Five days in a row gives you a choice of five or six hidden stuffs. One of 'em is unlocking Tails without having to stock up like 40 Red Star Rings. That's been there for ages though. I think it was in the very first update. Still hasn't been released on Google Play, though.

Does this mean anything on its own? Fuck if I know, but it seems increasingly likely that Sega will have something to show come E3. For what it's worth, Hunnid-P, the guy who recorded Knux's raps in SA2, claimed in July of last year that he was working on another Sonic game, so it begs the question of whether it was ever related to this.

Information's in the new topic I posted in the Nintendo subforum, but for simplicity: Sonic Lost World is the official title. It will release exclusively for Wii U and 3DS, as much like with PlatinumGames and Bayonetta, SEGA has entered into a worldwide partnership with Nintendo for the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. This effectively means that, until further notice, every single Sonic game from here on will be a Nintendo exclusive. EDIT: Keiji ninja'd me, but yes, it is defintely a Nintendo exclusive game.
