We only have dromedaries around here. Anyway, the logo's fine, it's supposed to look enough like the first part's (considering this is still the same game) while also emulating Sonic 2's title logo. I think it does it's job well.

BL;DR Posts: 3,493 Group: Elite Member #80 Joined: September 7, 2010	Well you know, shit like that tends to happen when you drip-feed PR for absolutely no reason and end up revealing either absolutely nothing, or something anyone could've guessed from day fucking 1 of the first episode. Seriously, I don't understand how they can act as though there is any sense of suspense about this game - just show us some fucking gameplay, or at least a trailer that's more than the lazy "coloured blobs with trails flying around black empty space" bullshit they pulled with the first ep, and people would actually be happy for a change (well, relatively speaking. Even if the second ep is absolutely no improvement over the first, it'd at least comfort them to know that instead of beating about the fucking bush like this). Instead, the fact that they're using the exact same PR scheme as last time, with even less justification than the first (because we have to admit, there was considerable doubt that a classic styled game would ever be made again prior to the Needlemouse announcement) just feeds fuel to the belief that they've learned absolutely nothing from the first episode. And while it may seem a bit early to call that, you'd be surprised how analytical the Sonic fanbase can be - the three or so seconds of gameplay they showed from the first gameplay teaser of the first ep was enough for them to deduce it was using Sonic Rush's engine (which had similarly bad physics masked only by the fact that boosting essentially ignored them entirely), so I wouldn't say it's overly farfetched to see where things are going based off what we have so far.

BL;DR Posts: 3,493 Group: Elite Member #80 Joined: September 7, 2010	I wasn't arguing the objective quality of Rush - that's completely besides the point, and like I said, the boost negates any potential physics issues anyway (which would be like 90% of the fucking time considering the game isn't typically designed for the player taking their finger off the boost button). The point is, they swiped that engine from it and slapped it onto Sonic 4 despite it being clearly unsuited to the purpose and not having any such means of masking flaws like that, which just draws further attention to them.

Or maybe I need to replace my video card.

I like it better that way to be honest - more overly analytical bastards that can make good objective observations to better clarify the source's credibility, and less of those goddamned retards in comment boxes that don't have anything better to say than "ZOMG PLZ LET IT B REEL". In other news, there's been some Sonic DLC for... Spiral Knights, of all things. Right now there's a full Metal Sonic armour suit and Tails's... umm, Tails up for download. Not that I actually play Spiral Knights myself, but I thought it looked pretty badass so it might be good news for the folks here who do play it. Edited by Blacklightning, Jan 20 2012, 02:53 PM.
