Just out of curiousity, do any of the songs there loop more than once? I'm more concerned with how much memory it would've taken up as is in the game (aka: single loop, no duplicates yadda yadda yadda).
From what I can tell, each song loops about one and a half times. So essentially, each song is a little over half a minute long. This'd make the total file size at maybe a third of the maximum, so...maybe around 10 megs?

I wouldn't expect a song that's looped to take up more memory than the same song played only once. Shouldn't you just need a single (probably in the kilobytes sized) command to repeat the music for the duration of the level? It's not like the music alone is inviting a stack overflow for the Wii's memory, and I'd be a little surprised if a repeated song is actually an infinitely strung together series of the same song just that many times bigger in filesize. Just asking a question here.
You're right, they do only need one loop in the game's files.
The problem is that, generally, when you download the soundtrack they loop them a few times so you get decent length songs. This makes it hard to gauge the filesize in the game because you're dealing with larger, looped files when you download the soundtrack.

I'm just wondering why SEGA just doesn't choose to make a 3DS version. There's no filesize limits on there. Friggin' Mighty Switch Force is nearly 160MB.

On that note, how the hell does the iPhone version manage to handle mp3s while the WiiWare version doesn't? What the hell is up with that?
Because iOS developers don't have to try and fit the game into a 40MB limit. Sonic 4 on iOS is around 80MB.

I like it when people use the word "gay" in any context other than a homosexual one - it only proves that they have the maturity of a five year old, as if their obsession with shooters didn't already do a good job of pointing that out. It's also pretty amusing that he pointed out Skyrim considering the fact that, y'know, it's set in the bloody medival era and doesn't even have muskets, let alone generic modern firearms.

But just for fun, let's play around with his logic a bit.

game - gun = gay
game + gun = -gay
game + gun + Arem = ???

From what I have seen, it's a very new Progressive commercial, one among the twenty they air on TV at random, and that's not including the ones that don't feature Flo. I don't know how this guy had set his camera up at the right time to catch it, but damn he was lucky. The upload date is two days ago (I discovered it late yesterday though.)

Episode 2 lips. I still think they should've used the classic models for 4.
It shouldn't seem like they change so quickly after the third game.

I'm not really bothered by it, being that we're fifteen+ years after the original trilogy.

Nobody complained come SA1/2, I don't see why this should suddenly be an issue now of all times.

I'm more bothered by the fact that this is just the Ep1 logo with Tails pasted in, which was itself just a retool of ASR art anyway. It screams of laziness.

Nobody complained on the SA1 design because it actually looked like a bad-ass start, and it felt like it had been 7 years since a real Sonic game came out... also sort of felt like a new beginning. It's not suddenly an issue, bringing those new styles to the past just screamed "bad idea" back when Episode 1 came out too. I didn't expect them to change the style for episode 2, that wouldn't make sense at all. But seeing this logo just reminds me of the debates over it and how I agreed with the disappointment in art direction.
